Experience a work environment that thrives on innovation, collaboration and partnership. Engineering Support position will be working in the Engineering and Maintenance Department at Horizon Air. This intern position works closely with the engineers, mechanics, standards and compliance personnel. Technical documents include detailed instructions for accomplishment, detailed engineering drawings, and detailed analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for consistently practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. Scope & Complexity We want to talk to undergraduate students in their junior year who have accomplished outstanding academic results. The program is designed for a commitment of 40 hours per week for the duration of the 12-week program. Key Duties - Reviewing aircraft maintenance program scheduled tasks for task effectiveness. - Working with engineers on task card procedure improvements. - Assisting the engineering on reviewing aircraft reliability data to improve aircraft reliability. - Evaluates and interprets AD, FARs, Service Bulletins (SBs) and Horizon's policy requirements to ensure compliance in all engineering documentation. - Will be responsible for reviewing ADs, submitting comments to the Federal Registry, and assisting engineering in setting up an AD for applicable aircraft. Job-Specific Skills, Experience & Education Required - Working on an Aviation/Engineering degree or related to aviation. - Strong knowledge of PC skills and Microsoft Office software suite. - Candidate must also have the ability to complete assignments with minimum supervision. - Internships positions are open to current undergraduate students in their junior year who are enrolled in a full time course of study graduating between December '20 and June '21. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - Candidate should be capable of working in a team environment to creatively solve technical problems Job-Specific Leadership Expectations Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be kind-hearted, deliver performance, and be remarkable. **START YOUR NEW JOURNEY NOW** Submit your application by 02/17/20202 11:59pm (Pacific Time).
