Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Manager of Agile Delivery is responsible for executing the strategy and use of the agile delivery framework across the e-commerce product teams for Alaska Airlines. As a people leader, this role leads a team of scrum masters / agile delivery managers, ongoing review of our delivery metrics and the progression of maturing agile practices. Building close partnerships and influencing decisions made by executive leaders, people managers, and product team members, to delivery products and features to delight our guests, is essential to the role. Scope & Complexity This leadership role manages agile software development and delivery for Alaska Airlines. Key Duties Lead a High Performing Team: - Leads a team of Agile practice leaders who support work management within the product team to adopt and improve their use of Agile practices for software product delivery. - Clarifies the team's service offering and helps the team evangelize it throughout the organization. - Establishes a career path for Agile practice leaders and supports their ongoing growth and development. - Recommends relevant reading materials, training opportunities, and conferences. - Creates and communicates a compelling vision that motivates team members to achieve excellent results for our guests. - Develops people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback, growing and developing the team. Drive Enterprise Agility: - Provides constructive coaching around Agile principles, process change management, and the E-commerce product focus to a range of stakeholders from executive leaders to individual contributors. - Provides tools for teams to measure, evaluate and evolve Agile capabilities and supports them in building plans to mature those capabilities. - Oversees the surfacing of best practices from the product teams to further mature continuous improvement and Agile practices. - Maintains awareness of changes in delivery techniques, tools, and practices and pragmatically introduces them when they can improve the team's productivity. - Evangelizes Agile practices and our product focus to teams outside of E-commerce who are interested in understanding and adopting them. Portfolio Management: - Manages the process and standards for the software system that provides visibility into the roadmap and progress of work across multiple product teams. - Collaborates and provides input on the process of cross-product-team initiatives. - Builds a strong partnership with the Enterprise Project Management Office to aid them in working successfully with E-commerce product teams. Job-Specific Skills, Experience & Education Required - 5 years of hands-on experience supporting teams using agile methodologies (i.e., Scrum) with full stack product focused teams to plan and deliver of software. - 2 years of management experience leading people involved in software delivery. - A Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree, with a focus in computer science, business, project management, or related field or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. - Strong understanding of a variety of project management and software delivery lifecycles. - Balanced technology and business background, sufficiently technical to provide credible leadership to development teams working on complex web and mobile initiatives. - Strong business acumen to provide guidance to product owners and stakeholders to develop solutions of high business value. - Fluency using Agile Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools, with a strong preference for experience using Azure Dev Ops. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). - Preferred - Experience as a product manager or other role in a product led organization.
