Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Quality Assurance (QA) Auditor is responsible for conducting risk-based audits and supporting the Safety Management System (SMS) by collecting safety assurance data for analysis and review. The QA Auditor acts as an ambassador for Alaska Airlines by maintaining the highest level of professionalism when performing audits and communicating with vendors. Scope & Complexity As an individual contributor. this position supports moderately complex to complex auditing activities for the Maintenance and Engineering (M&E) division at Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. Key Duties - At the intermediate level you will conduct reviews, investigations, and audits (consisting of observations, document reviews, interviews, etc.) to facilitate improvement in processes that support M&E operations. - At the senior level you will act as a subject matter expert to partner with the Manager Quality Assurance to develop and oversee audit programs as well as exercise considerable judgement to conduct complex reviews, investigations, and audits (consisting of observations, document reviews, interviews, etc.) to facilitate improvement in processes that support M&E operations. Minimum Requirements Intermediate Level - 2 years of airline industry experience or equivalent operational industry experience. - 2 years of audit, quality assurance or equivalent experience. - A Bachelor of Arts or Science degree or an additional two years of training and/or experience in lieu of this degree. - Thorough understanding of airline safety and operating standards, as well as a thorough understanding of M&E operations. Senior Level - 4 years of airline industry experience or equivalent operational industry experience. - 4 years of audit, quality assurance or equivalent experience. - A Bachelor of Arts or Science degree or an additional two years of training and/or experience in lieu of this degree. - Thorough understanding of airline safety and operating standards, as well as a thorough understanding of M&E operations.
