The Network Engineer will collaborate with the project management team in delivering multiple networking infrastructure projects. This incumbent will be responsible for design assistance, engineering, developing construction documents, performing calculations, laying-out drawings, overseeing implementation throughout construction phase and testing & commissioning of assigned networking infrastructure projects. 

The Network Engineer will partner with the project management team and works under the supervision of a project manager, head of project. The assigned person carries-out the project activates as outlined.

• Responsible to lead the implementation of data networking and wifi solutions to achieve timely completion of projects and maintenance services.
• Plan, configure and oversee the implementation of the data network infrastructure in co-ordination with customers, principals, service providers, and business partners to ensure implementation meets design parameters.
• Provide post-sales support to customers.
• Troubleshoot and provide solution in a timely manner for complex multi- vendor network.
• Provide support for project implementation & documentation.
• Train customers on system usage.

The Network Engineer will report to the Project Manager, however, channels exists for direct communication with the Head of Projects & other members from the senior leadership team at weekly meetings or as and when required. 

To be a successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification specialised in Electronics / Telecommunication / IT / Computer Science. Cisco Certifications: CCNA – Routing & Switching / CCNA – Wireless / CCNP – Routing & Switching / CCNP – Wireless / CCIE - Routing & Switching / CCIE – Wireless are an asset. Highest level of certifications in Data and Wi-fi from Cisco / HP / Alcatel – Lucent are an asset. UAE Driving License is an asset.

The ideal candidate will possess a technology background that enables them to understand complex network architecture. Have complete comprehension of network infrastructure industry standards & technologies and experience in delivering large-scale network infrastructure project.

Minimum of 2+ years relevant experience in in converged enterprise network design, implementation and support job-specific. Hands-on experience in installation / commissioning of networking systems. Good knowledge in converge network, wireless, security, routers, switches, firewall & network management software / Voice (Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, Juniper, HP experience). Good experience in two or more of the following – wireless / security / routing / switching / voice. Full network lifecycle experience including gathering requirements, design, test, documentation, configuration and maintenance. Basic knowledge of project execution processes. Experience of working in a multinational and multicultural environment is an asset.
The ideal candidate will have to exhibit exceptional communication skills with capability to generate trust with the customer with sheer domain and solution knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skill, presentation and business acumen. Excellent techno-functional skills. Previous experience & ability to communicate with people of various technical backgrounds. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.

The Network Engineer will have to demonstrate excellent leadership qualities, be customer focused and be able to handle multiple and often conflicting priorities. It is essential the incumbent should have excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style. Excels at operating in a fast pace, community environment. Have the ability to look at situations from several points of view. Delegate responsibilities effectively. Excellent problem analytical skills and problem simulation. Should have a high comfort level working in a diverse environment. Open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done. Manage cross-functional relationships effectively. Strong verbal and writing skills, with regards to contractual communication. People management skills & problem solving skills. Excellent managerial & administrative skills however at the same time hands on with day to day business operations. Detail oriented and good reporting skills. Establish clear lines of communication both internally & externally. Strong commercial expertise in driving business results.
