Senior PHP/WordPress Developer at Arrow Electronics

Location: Heliopolis

Job Description:

Designing and implementing new features and functionalities.
Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture.
Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
Formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
Migrating websites from other platforms into WordPress platform.

Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred but not required.

Relevant Experience:

Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Training required:

Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
Experience working with WordPress at a PHP code level.
Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like GitHub and/or BitBucket.
Experience with Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence.
Experience in WordPress Multisite.
Experience creating multilingual websites.
Experience with SEO technical improvements, SEO best practices.
Experience building custom Gutenberg blocks.
MySQL Database manipulation (writing and executing queries).
