Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Director Lounge Program sets the long-term strategy and drives the efficient operations and strong financial performance of Alaska Airlines lounges. As a people leader, this role establishes strategic goals and direction for a team of leaders to oversee all facets of the Lounge program, including design, development, cost, scope, schedule, and delivery of meaningful business results. Scope & Complexity The Director Lounge Program has direct reports including product management and Lounge Managers and staff. Key Duties - Product Management - Sets 5-10 year strategic plan for Lounge portfolio based on network growth plan. - Establishes pricing strategy for day passes and memberships for Alaska flyers and partners. - Develops clear articulation of Lounge value proposition and partners with marketing to build and launch campaigns to increase membership growth (acquisition and retention focused).Drives Lounge enhancements in partnership with corporate real estate team and port authority teams. - Responsible for design and development of new Lounge properties, including business case development for improvements and renovations to existing lounges. - Creates both airport and lounge visions rooted in consumer insights, analyses, and brand positioning. - Operations - Ensures safe, efficient and top-quality operations of each Lounge. - Increases employee satisfaction scores through effective leadership, clear accountability and team alignment. - Identifies, tracks, manages and communicates operational KPIs to senior management and the Lounge team. - Implements policies and practices to ensure amazing guest satisfaction scores. - Supports Lounge managers in ensuring appropriate levels of staffing. - Establishes and maintains key partnerships with airport operations, corporate real estate, financial planning and analysis, IT and marketing. - Develops people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback, focusing on fostering strategic and systems thinking, development of talent, and succession planning across teams and disciplines. - Shapes culture of the team through action, presence, and reinforcement of behaviors. Job-Specific Skills & Education Required - 8 years of marketing, product, financial management, or other relevant experience. - 5 years of leadership experience, with at least 2 of those years directly leading people. - A Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. - Strong interpersonal communication skills. - Strong analytical skills. - High school diploma or equivalent - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - 3 years of hospitality management experience, including P&L management. - A Master's degree or MBA is preferred. - Prior airline industry experience. - Consumer marketing, branding, and communications experience.
