  • Responsible for the identification, documentation, management and communication of scope and requirements for multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
  • Translates business functional and non-functional requirements into the appropriate Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional Requirements Document (FRD), Process Flow Diagrams, and Business Scenarios and Rally User Stories
  • Participates in the creation of the project artifacts (i.e. Requirements Traceability Matrix, Test Plan, Defect Reporting Matrix) with the Project Manager (PM)
  • Works collaboratively with customer and user groups, technical leads, development resources, engineers and architects and external project teams
  • Works with the 3rd Party Vendors (e.g., Sabre, DXC, AOS, etc.) to design and deliver the approved solution
  • Tracks progress and provides project status reports according to the information needs of the stakeholders including, at times, executive level staff
  • Outside of the iteration, the Technical Lead works closely with the Product Owner to refine the backlog and understand the technical impact
  • Works with the team to ready work for development, answering questions, managing dependencies, and planning and tasking the work.
  • Supports squad’s development activities including planning, coding, writing tests, code review, build processes, environment and release activities.
  • Works with development team to determine technical patterns, refactoring opportunities and improvements in automation and processes.
  • Provides on-call application support (24 x 7 x 365), as required
  • Maintain the original copy of the M&E department’s current processes.
  • Field incoming problem tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues.

  • Monitor, prioritize, schedule and administer all instances where enhancements and defect resolution are required.
  • Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems.
  • Assist with software upgrades including reviewing upgrade documentation, testing, and coordinating the upgrade with development and business teams.
  • Maintain the original copy of the M&E department’s current processes.
  • Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, unit leaders and software vendor.
  • Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
  • Identify and learn appropriate software applications used and supported by the organization.
  • Participate in the design, development, and delivery of applications training programs and individual classes.
  • Provide support for the testing of new and existing software applications under development or consideration for purchase.
  • Travels domestically and internationally, as required
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst
  • A&P License

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Experience in IFS Maintenix is a critical skill
  • Experience in the maintenance and engineering area from a business perspective including planning, MOC, and reliability.
  • Work with business and IT teams to develop and innovate new solutions business problems.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project, Access)
  • Experience gathering and documenting complex system requirements, technical specifications, and developing detailed system diagrams
  • Experience in analysis techniques, such as requirements gathering and use case development
  • Experience delivering in-house and externally-developed applications
  • Understanding of failover, disaster recovery and mirroring concepts and experience delivering mission-critical applications in a high-availability environment
  • Knowledge of SDLC, DPaCE, or Agile methodologies
  • Broad understanding of crew operations or flight operations processes
  • Ability to adapt to unexpected events, new facts, and rapidly changing circumstances
  • Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
  • Strong organization, planning, interpersonal, and negotiating skills
  • Strong analytical, estimating, and problem solving skills
