Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Director, Revenue Management (RM) sets the long-term strategy and oversees the financial performance of unit revenue targets on over $6B in annual revenues. This role establishes strategic goals and direction for a team of leaders to enhance existing revenue management KPIs while keeping customers, employees, and shareholders at the center of strategic thinking. Key Duties - Set the long-term strategy for revenue management strategies and guiding principles. Develops new or enhances existing revenue management KPIs/goals that align with other departmental goals. Tracks and reports key financial metrics related to market strategies to help achieve optimal profitability. Continually monitors booking mix results and ensures alignment with Pricing strategies. Establishes and maintains procedures for reviewing and adjusting strategic inventory practice based on changing economic and competitive landscape. - Leverages a variety of statistical and analytical databases to help explain business and revenue trends to senior management and other stakeholders. Assess the effectiveness of revenue management strategies through analytics, sales input, and coordination with key stakeholders. Identifies opportunities for RM team through business intelligence improvement. - Develops revenue projection recommendations for major actions based on data driven market analysis and then communicates to executive leadership. - Develops people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback, focusing on fostering strategic and systems thinking, development of talent, and succession planning across teams and disciplines. - Shapes culture of the team through action, presence, and reinforcement of behaviors. - Serves as the voice of Alaska Air Group at industry forums with a strong and clear future vision and evaluates / adopts technology to enhance Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air's competitive advantage. - Partners with Marketing, Sales, Legal, Airport, Planning, and Network Planning to roll out cross-divisional projects. Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills Required - 8 years of airline pricing, revenue management, and/or analytics experience. - 5 years of leadership experience, with at least 2 of those years directly leading people - Bachelor's degree with a focus in business administration, economics, or related field; or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree. - Demonstrated knowledge of statistical and analytical modeling. - Accomplishments in conducting complex analysis and cross-divisional projects to deliver results. - Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). - Demonstrates excellent initiative, accountability, and project management skills. - Goal-oriented, with a bias for action and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to execute actions through effective and transparent communication and provide performance results and feedback to all levels of the organization. - Ability to remain focused on results while prioritizing competing goals and interests. - High school diploma or equivalent is required. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - Advanced experience with database programs (e.g., SQL, Access, Business Objects or Brio).
