Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Senior Product Manager is a subject matter expert in managing product strategy at Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. As an individual contributor, this role manages product strategy based on customer, competitive, and P(L) analysis, and will drive the P(L) and long-term strategic roadmap for assigned revenue products (first class, premium class, main cabin, saver, several first party ancillaries, and the credit card program). Additionally, this role will identify, coordinate, and optimize prioritization of enhancements and changes to assigned revenue products to deliver outcomes aligned with our strategy. Key Duties - As a subject matter expert for managing assigned revenue products, leads the product guild and manages the entire product line life cycle within a cross functional organization, from strategic planning to tactical activities and execution. - Actively monitors revenue product performance across key factors: customer segment, channel, travel purpose, marketing carrier, form of payment, hub/region, and any other relevant lens by product. - Understands revenue product drivers, business capabilities, customer behavior, and data well enough to serve as the economic focal for assigned products. - Owns the first line of analytics for the product via self-service and assumption-based modeling. - Predicts, monitors, and reacts to the competitive environment and technology trends for assigned revenue products. - Defines creative, high quality, simple product roadmaps based on team strategy to advise key stakeholders throughout the company, including senior executives. - Develops executive level product and policy recommendations based on data to drive Alaska to an industry leading revenue product position. - Project manages all enterprise projects related to assigned products. Job-Specific Skills & Education Required - 4 years of experience in product management, program management or product ownership - 2 years of experience with data, modeling, and analytics. - Bachelor's degree with a focus in analytics, product management, economics or related, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. - Proficiency with product management methodologies (including user research and product discovery). - Ability to self-serve data via SQL and/or Alteryx. Comfortable working with large and complex datasets. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with diverse audiences, including both technical and non-technical customers, colleagues, and executives. - Ability to facilitate user group meetings with stakeholders and drive agenda for a common solution. - High school diploma or equivalent is required. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - Prior airline industry experience - Experience managing vendor relationships - Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management cross-divisionally. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with increased complexity. - Demonstrated ability to manage conflict.
