JOB PURPOSE:
The Receptionist is responsible for receiving the walk-in customers at the showroom and addressing their queries as well as handling incoming calls to facilitate and enhance communication flow throughout the showroom.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Specify the output required from the job. Identify not more than 7 Key Accountabilities & their performance indicators. NB-Focus on outcomes, not tasks
- Receive and assist customers in the showroom by directing them to the concerned staff member (Sales Consultant or Managers where required) to ensure their requirements are met and maintain the standards of the overall customer experience
- Attend to all incoming calls and transfer calls to the concerned staff members. Take note of any messages for staff members that are not available and pass on the message in a prompt manner
- Facilitating outgoing calls for staff members and keeping track of any personal calls being made to make sure they are charged to the respective individual.
- The receptionist is also expected to deal with customer inquiries such as showroom timings, locations, telephone numbers, etc…; technical queries and complaints are to be transferred to the designated staff members.
- Assist in various admin-related tasks during idle times
JOB CONTEXT: Define organizational policy and other factors that have a critical impact on the job
During busy/peak/promotion/sale periods there could be an overwhelming number of customers entering the showroom
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Must hold a High School Degree
- ICDL or equivalent desired
Minimum Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role gained in the service industry in a reputed organization
Job-Specific Skills:
- Good communicator in English; Arabic an advantage
- Knowledge of PBX Board handling
Behavioral Competencies :
- Effective Communicator
- Interpersonal Skills
- Customer Service Skills (Strong presence over the phone)
