The role is a part of the Technical Operations Planning team within our Technical Operations group. This role will be responsible for leading short and long term development of data and analytical tools, including the development of new analytical methodology supporting Technical Operations.  Additionally, this role will develop and validate operational metrics, lead the Business Technology and Product Support Model for Technical Operations, as well as foster continual development to meet the evolving expansion in data, analysis, and the use of data to improve operational performance.  

What you'll do
  • Lead team responsible for the advanced analytics of operational data and development of department databases
  • Maintain current knowledge of operational needs / issues and directs the department towards actions that lead to improvements
  • Work with Technical Operations PMO to provide analytical, performance, and functional toolsets to support Technical Operations Strategies
  • Act as liaison with other Technical Operations departments and vendors to provide assistance in resolving operational performance issues
  • Develop new insights to evaluate operational performance by using advanced coding/programming
  • Maintain and champion Technical Operations IT Strategies and Product roadmaps
  • Interface with IT to institutionalize or enhance self-service Business Intelligence (BI) tools
All you'll need for success
  • Demonstrates the highest standards of personal ethics and integrity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aeronautical engineering, or advanced Statistics or Mathematical degree with experience in maintenance
  • Masters of Business Administration or other advanced degree or certification preferred
  • 7 years of leadership experience in a technical, professional environment
  • Extensive experience in analyzing cross-divisional operations data, as well as developing databases and merging of data
  • Advanced analytical skills, including a proficiency in MS Office suite of applications 
  • Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles
  • Experience with analysis and database/reporting software and tools, including Alteryx, PowerBI, SAS, Tableau, VBA, SQL, and Text Mining
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage large-scale initiatives and projects in an efficient, cost effective manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively and clearly communicate a strategic and tactical vision to all levels within the organization, as well as with external agencies and business partners
  • Demonstrated ability to create a culture of continuous improvement that is open and respectful and thrives on diversity and trust
  • Ability to manage, motivate, coach, and counsel a diverse team of managers and analysts
  • Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal and collaboration skills
