  • This job is a member of the Barclays Co-Brand team within the Customer Loyalty & Insights division.  This strategy analyst role is responsible for a full range of strategic and analytical projects designed to drive incremental revenue and overall business development of the Barclays Co-Brand Card Program.
What you'll do
  • Develop long-term strategy for product benefits, including competitive landscape monitoring and implementation of strategies to address marketplace competition and evolving customer preferences
  • Evaluate competitive strategies and industry trends to determine impact to Co-Brand Credit Card portfolio and contemplates action plans to protect revenue and profitability
  • Develop sound business cases and presentations for strategic initiatives that help senior management in securing internal buy-ins from key stakeholders and in negotiations with our partners 
  • Lead customer research initiatives in collaboration with partner and internal teams, develop strategic recommendations based on key findings
  • Leverage CRM, data mining, and business intelligence tools (SQL, Cognos, Tableau) to regularly examine customer and flight attendant behavior and identify opportunities to increase market share and revenue growth
  • Lead financial analysis and data centric projects with partners and internal teams to create incremental value through enhanced value proposition and improved experience for our customers
  • Develop periodic reports outlining key business performance indicators, analyze contractual reports received from partners to evaluate the health of the business and present to senior management
  • Identify and evaluate new partnerships by developing business cases and financial models for the most attractive opportunities based on profit potential and implementation requirements
  • Analyze historical trends and credit card customer behavior, and develops models to segment and target customers for acquisition and spend campaigns
  • Support portfolio operations including day-to-day contact with bank partners, technical and operational project management, and oversight of complex legal and contractual matters
  • Interact frequently with Barclays, Flight Service, Loyalty, Legal, Digital, Revenue Management, IT and Customer Service
  • Some travel may be required

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or equivalent training/experience
  • 3 years of experience in a similar or related role

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Master's Degree
  • Experience managing complex business partnerships
  • Prior experience in commercial organizations

 

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Ability to work independently, craft strategy and take such strategy towards completion
  • Self-starter for who can recognize opportunities for innovation and creativity
  • Ability to assimilate large volumes of detailed information; organizing and presenting material in simple terms.
  • Manage projects with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to negotiate and persuade others to gain buy-in from various partners
  • Data analytics, reporting, financial modeling, and forecasting for sales projections, behavioral trending and market analysis
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • SQL experience
