If you share our passion for creating an airline people love, we want to hear from you. **Role Summary** The Senior Sourcing Specialist is a subject matter expert in sourcing at Alaska Airlines. As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment to make decisions in the strategic sourcing of goods and services, and provides recommendations to address the application of sourcing philosophies and techniques to achieve cost effectiveness while meeting the needs of ITS division. **Key Duties** + Acts as a subject matter expert in sourcing. + With minimal direction from leadership, exercises considerable judgment to lead and execute complex sourcing projects (RFPs), including project assessment, developing project and sourcing strategy, evaluating supplier capabilities, and negotiating contracts to achieve cost, quality, and performance objectives. + Effectively communicates, liaises, and negotiates internally and externally to influence decisions, and facilitates the development of profitable and sustainable business relationships. + Critically evaluates the technical, financial, and commercial components of agreements and structures agreements to achieve the best overall business value for the company. + Makes recommendations to address broad, cross-divisional business and process improvement opportunities. + Manages the quality, cost, and performance of key suppliers through the vendor oversight process using effective communication, and building strong working relationships. + Facilitates positive working relationships and becomes an established and trusted business advisor to the ITS division. + Develops financial forecasting models to ensure a thorough understanding of the financial impacts of the agreement, including scenario development and modeling. **Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills** **Required** + 4 years of experience in buying, sourcing, procurement, or related area. + Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree. + Ability to formulate and deliver convincing presentations to a range of organizational counterparts. + Track record of sustaining strong customer and supplier relationships. + Demonstrated analytical competence (e.g., cost/benefit analyses, contract modeling, etc.). + Strong team-building and project management skills. + Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work and to drive change in a decentralized organization. + Strong communication skills, including the ability to present and summarize complex information in a clear and concise manner. + Contracting and negotiation experience. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.) + High school diploma or equivalent. + Minimum age of 18. + Must be authorized to work in the U.S. **Preferred** + Experience with vendor oversight, including performance management and continuous improvement. + Professional certification from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM). + Hardware, software or telecom supply management experience advantageous. **Total Rewards** + Competitive total rewards package + Medical, dental and vision benefits + 401k match program + Monthly incentive pay plan + Annual incentive pay plan + Generous paid time off and maternity / child-bonding leave + Travel privileges on Alaska Airlines & Horizon Air **Job-Specific Leadership Expectations** Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be kind-hearted, deliver performance, and be remarkable. **Equal Employment Opportunity** Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines are equal opportunity employers.
