Advanced Technician | Al Futtaim Automotive Aftersales | Abu Dhabi

 

About the Position

We are currently looking for Advanced Technician to join our Automotive Aftersales Services UAE in Abu Dhabi. As an Advanced Technician your main role is to provide reliable fault finding and produce accurate corrective repair to result in good productivity and satisfaction to the customer. You need to ensure that the assigned service jobs are executed in line with established work procedures, time and housekeeping standards & accurate reporting.

 

Specifically, you will be responsible to carry out level 1 repairs plus preventive maintenance, Diagnosis:  

• Recognise fault (or additional fault) and advice Lead Technician for necessary action.
• Assist/guide fellow technicians in case of difficult problems. 
• Commitment to fore court activity (If applicable). Execute assigned jobs according to established work procedures and time standards. Give ideas for improvement regarding tools, equipment and workshop processes/systems thereby achieving timely delivery.
• Report accurate/completeness of information given on job card to ensure repair quality. Ensure that he uses safety equipment and appropriate PPE. Follow all safety procedures. Do not indulge in unauthorised driving or repair work.
• Keeps abreast of new technology, work procedures, time standard and relevant technical knowhow to maintain or improve work productivity and quality.
• Ensure cleanliness of the workplace, tools and equipment and also of the customer's car being serviced.
• Maintain the discipline of the service establishment through strict adherence of company rules, regulations and procedures.
• Responsible for carrying out work with care ensuring not to endanger the life either of themselves or others by theirs acts or omissions whilst complying to health and safety requirements of the company and preventing any harm to the environment.

 

About You: 

The ideal candidate for this role should be a High School graduate or a Technical School graduate. You should have at least 2 -3 years recent experience in an automotive dealership as a Technician. You can perform tyre and battery services, alignments, minor repairs and diagnosis on mechanical repairs i.e. under chassis, electrical, air conditioning. You should be able to read, understand, speak and write English well enough to follow mandated trainings and standard instructions.
