  • The IT Audit Analyst is responsible for identifying risks, maintaining effective cybersecurity, technology and operational controls, and monitoring SOX compliance. This position requires a knowledge of IT general controls (disaster recovery, change management, logical security, data center) and remediation activities including developing and coordinating meaningful process improvement strategies.

  • Prepare and scope reviews, while meeting with stakeholders to develop an understanding of the business and technology and identifying the key risks and controls to be assessed
  • Participate in walkthroughs and other meetings with process and control owners to ensure SOX testing plans are properly created to address financial reporting risks identified by management.
  • Facilitate and track audit remediation activities with stakeholders to completion.
  • Effectively communicate with executive management and Audit Committee to provide. progress updates and ensure potential problems are disclosed appropriately
  • Work with internal auditors and regulatory examiners to collect and prepare requested documents and consulting with stakeholders on remediation efforts.
  • Perform special projects related to cybersecurity as assigned by management.
  • Assess the effectiveness of controls to mitigate identified risks and offer solutions for process improvements related to audit remediation efforts
  • Analyze material risks as they relate to AA’s priorities and overall strategy by monitoring internal and external factors and applying key business initiatives
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • 3 years of experience as an IT Audit Analyst with working knowledge of ITGC testing.
  • Knowledge of various security and control frameworks like NIST CSF and COBIT, COSO, and GDPR.
  • Experience executing ITGC controls testing and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • 5 years of experience as an IT Audit Analyst or in an IT Auditor role
  • Experience in a lead auditor role or a related control function
  • Working knowledge of ITSM/ITAM, regulatory compliance (PCI DSS, GDPR/PII, HIPAA, and SOX) and cybersecurity principles.
  • Familiarity with IT GRC tools like SharePoint, RSA Archer, Brinqa and Interos, SharePoint, SailPoint knowledge a plus
  • Lead audits of network and infrastructure technologies both implemented and under consideration for future deployment.
  • Draft and deliver audit reports to Senior Management that provide an accurate assessment of the audit area in review in an understandable and concise manner.
  • Experience supporting PCAOB Audit

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Relevant certification or industry accreditation (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CISM)
  • Execute audits of key IT controls and document findings in a clear and concise format
  • Independently scrutinize areas under review and identify and proposed audit scope adjustments as needed
  • Effectively communicate audit issues and related recommendations in non-technical terms to both operational and IT management
  • Strong proficiency in basic PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with a general understanding of simple data analysis techniques like VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables etc.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn both AA and industry standards (NIST 800-171)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, PC skills, team building skills and the ability to work independently
    Work directly with internal and external auditors to fulfill data requests, answer questions and support the audit function for ITGC
  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project, Access)
  • Ability to adapt to unexpected events, new facts, and rapidly changing circumstances
  • Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
  • Strong organization, planning, interpersonal, and negotiating skills
  • Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
