You will be expected to hold the standard Scrum events, assist Product Managers with achieving a well-refined backlog, removing impediments, and empowering your team(s) to continually evolve. **Key Duties** **Service to the Product Manager** + Ensures that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the team to encourage the delivery of high-quality, high-value products + Coaches on the techniques for effective product backlog management + Helps the team understand the need for clear and concise product backlog items + Utilizes feedback and metrics to identify areas of opportunity helping the team to develop quicker service delivery and continuously improve by utilizing feedback and metrics to identify areas of opportunity **Service to the Team** + Facilitates Agile events, coaching the team to on self-organization and working cross-functionally + Helps the team to make measurable, continuous improvements by using metrics + Establishes and maintains planning and tracking artifacts and tools + Removes impediments to the team’s progress, including working with peers to resolve cross-team impediments + Measures and diagnoses team performance and provides transparency to team process and progress **Service to the Organization** + Partners with management (including engineering, design and product) to identify opportunities to build high performing teams to plan, build and deliver process + Establishes and maintains team metrics which provide a comprehensive view of team health + Leads and coaches the team in its Scrum adoption **Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills** **Required** + A minimum of 2 years of technology industry and customer-centric applications experience + A minimum of one year as a Scrum Master. + Bachelor's degree with a focus in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline. 2 years of additional experience as described above can be in lieu of this Bachelor’s degree requirement. + Comprehensive understanding of Scrum + Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse personality types + Ability to understand technical issues at a high level + Strong communication, organization, and facilitation skills + Ability to lead and coach the team to reach their highest potential + Collaborative approach to driving decisions + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail + High school diploma or equivalent + Minimum age of 18 + Must be authorized to work in the U.S. **Preferred** + Certified Scrum Master (CSM) **Job-Specific Leadership Expectations** Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be kind-hearted, deliver performance, and be remarkable. **FLSA Status** Exempt **Employment Type** Full-Time **Regular/Temporary** Regular **Equal Employment Opportunity** Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines are equal opportunity employers.
