• This job is part of the Long Range Planning Team within the Revenue Division.
• Responsibilities are focused around identifying opportunities to maximize the value of American’s organic and inorganic (partnership) network which involves interfacing with various Commercial groups including Network Planning, Revenue Management, Loyalty and Sales, among other departments.

What you'll do

• Analyze the performance of existing partnerships, evaluate new partnerships and craft creative solutions that drive continuous improvement from American Airlines’ inorganic network
• Develop and maintain a monthly Alliance partner scorecard to steer internal performance discussions
• Conduct ad hoc analyses that range from evaluating Joint Business success, to creating analyses of American Airlines relative to its peers, to analyzing revenue trends that guide decisions associated with aircraft seating configurations (LOPAs), among other projects
• Evaluate and optimize the usage of American Airlines’ codeshare flight number ranges 
• Utilize statistical analysis, predictive modeling or other analytical methods to analyze data and develop practical solutions to business problems
• Present analyses, strategies and results to all levels of the organization
• Apply analytical modeling and data optimizing methods using advanced MS Excel to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision-making, policy formulation, growth evaluation and financial analyses
• Perform validation of models to ensure adequacy, define data requirements, and gather and validate information, applying judgement and statistical tests
• Develop performance measurements and analytical tools to improve profitability and planning / forecasting processes
• Develop periodic reports on a wide range of strategic and tactical analyses / projects outlining key business drivers and explain variances against budget
• Analyze data derived from various areas, such as booking activity, fleet analyses, market trends, ROI analyses, performance and budget analyses, profitability statistics, previous campaign results, site statistics, marketing efforts, revenue management, and pricing trends in order to devise strategies to increase revenue and profitability
• Interact with other groups including Corporate Real Estate, Finance, Network Planning, Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, various operational groups, Joint Business partners and Regional affiliates

All you'll need for success

• Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/training

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in airline Network Planning/Scheduling, Revenue Management or analytical field, or Master’s degree in a related field

• Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • Knowledge of Air Vision Schedule Manager
• Skills, Licenses & Certifications
