The User Experience (UX) team is within the Digital Platform and User Experience group and is part of the Information Technology (IT) organization. We are structured in a Portfolio and Product based culture and we are looking to recruit an intern to assist our Digital Platform team.
The UX intern has a passion for user-centric experiences and aspire to become a UX Product Designer. You’ll wear many UX hats (Information architect, Researcher, Designer, Front End Developer) and will have the opportunity to produce a variety of UX deliverables (personas, flows, research plans, test scripts, low and hi-fidelity mockups) with assistance and guidance from other members of the UX team. Your main contribution will be to partner with our UX Engineer to create, maintain and build adoption for our design system.
What you'll do
- Work alongside a UX engineer to collaborate with teams to maintain our design system for consistency, coherence and speed to market of our products
- Work with all product teams to establish strategy for stabilizing consistency across projects and devices
- Participate in the planning around a growing design system
- Maintain design libraries and artifacts
- Assist with adoption of design systems and it’s communication and brand
All you'll need for success
- Currently pursuing at least Bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Behavioral Science, Information Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field
- Understanding of UX best practices and user centered design principles
- Thorough understanding of the concept of design systems and components
- Experience conducting user research and integrating user research into product designs and design practices
- Must be organized, thorough, and enjoy keeping track of a lot of information
- Must have experience collaborating with others on project, leading tasks and supporting others with theirs
- Must have experience presenting in front of an audience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
