About the role:

Senior managers are responsible for providing direction and guidance to a team of specialists to support and deliver business solutions in their domain expertise aligned with IT strategy.

 

It is also expected from team leaders to provide domain expertise and collaborate with other stakeholders to achieve common goals and deliverables.

 

The Senior Manager is responsible for leading corporate finance technology roadmap and implementation initiatives across Al-Futtaim business divisions. The role will work closely with Corporate Finance, Group Treasury, Group Procurement, Finance Share Services and divisional finance stakeholders.

 

There will be a strong emphasis on leveraging SAP Financials, Treasury, Ariba and Consolidation capabilities to deliver business solutions and benefits to the group. Although the primary focus of the role will be on financial solutions, there is an expectation to understand and support integration with automotive, retail and real estate industry solutions implementation as well.

 

Key Responsibilities;

Application Management

  • To organise and implement servicing and support of your domain solutions to agreed service level standards.
  • Drive adoption of standard solutions across companies and geographies.
  • Assist in managing the operation, maintenance, versioning and upgrading of solutions / applications throughout their lifecycle.
  • Liaise with software suppliers and the Change Management team for problem resolution and to maintain awareness of forthcoming developments.
  • Ensure compliance with IT Policies, Security Standards and strengthen internal controls. Identify and manage key risks in your solution domain.

 

Solution Delivery

  • Manage investigation and implementation of tactical and strategic solutions that would contribute to the improvement, efficiency and enhancement of existing information systems.
  • Estimate and deliver multiple projects assignments and system change requests as per agreed resourcing and timelines with required quality.
  • Assist in solution architecture and approach discussions with EA in line with Group IT Strategy and business needs.
  • Build a repository of solution deliverables, process documentation, key developments and methodologies.
  • Participate in RFI & RFP processes for sourcing software services and solutions for the business.
  • Support in building TCO and business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licenses, development and support.

 

Leadership & Team Management

  • Build a lean, skilled and fully engaged team; working with them to plan and prioritise their workloads, set objectives, conduct appraisals and supported to continually improve their performance and results.
  • Develop team in line with target competencies and build adequate bench strength for future.
  • Establish clear objectives, roles and responsibilities of the team.
  • Resources assigned to project teams, to be managed as appropriate to the needs of application support priorities.
  • Motivate team members to maintain excellence in service delivery and have opportunities for professional development.
     

Other Key Responsibilities

  • To liaise with relevant managers and stakeholders in IT to ensure full collaboration and understanding on critical topics and avoid any escalations.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the solution demand & delivery practices, procedures, methodologies and tools through identification of and participation in improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains and upgrades professional knowledge, management skills and domain expertise by using continuous learning & development tools.

 

About the Requirements

Education:

  • College or University degree in Finance/Accounting/IT or a related discipline
     

Minimum Experience and Knowledge: 

  • 6-8 years’ experience in SAP Financials including FICO, Treasury, Consolidation, Auto & Retail industry solution implementation and support with significant size, scope and complexity.
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or subject matter expertise position.
  • SAP S/4 Hana and cloud migrations experience will be preferred.
  • SAP Finance certification will be a plus.
     

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Technology domain expertise in Finance/ Treasury/ Consolidation / Procurement/ Banking solutions.
  • Experience in end to end implementations of SAP Financials along with Auto, Retail and Real Estate industry solutions.
  • The candidate should have functional and configuration knowledge in financials using SAP S/4 HANA.
  • In-depth working knowledge in Green field implementation, Roll-outs, Upgrades, Data Migration related to SAP Financials Solutions across different SAP versions.
  • Understand the business requirements and translate it into functional and technical specifications
  • Proficient in design, deliver and manage the customized ABAP solutions (incl. custom reports) and interfaces with 3rd party systems.
  • Experience in setting up and advocating for a robust Super User and End User training framework.
  • Strong leadership qualities to guide team of solution experts and collaborate with other IT teams.
