Job Title:                                           Network Engineer

Reporting Manager:                       Project Manager – AFET

JOB PURPOSE

This role will collaborate with the project management team in delivering multiple Networking infrastructure projects. Experienced professional will be responsible for design assistance, engineering, developing construction documents, performing calculations, laying-out drawings, overseeing implementation throughout construction phase and testing & commissioning of assigned Networking infrastructure projects.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible to lead the implementation of data networking and wifi solutions to achieve timely completion of projects and maintenance services.
• Plan, configure and oversee the implementation of the data network infrastructure in co-ordination with customers, principals, service providers, and business partners to ensure implementation meets design parameters.
• Provide post-sales support to customers.
• Troubleshoot and provide solution in a timely manner for complex multivendor network.
• Provide support for project implementation & documentation.
• Train customers on system usage.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

• Bachelor’s Degree specialised in Electronics / Telecommunication / IT / Computer Science
• Cisco Certifications: CCNA – Routing & Switching / CCNA – Wireless / CCNP – Routing & Switching / CCNP – Wireless are an asset or Equivalent
• Highest level of certifications in data and wifi from Cisco / HP / Alcatel – Lucent are an asset
• UAE Driving License is an asset

 

Minimum Experience:

• Experience in converged enterprise network design, implementation and support

 

Job-Specific Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience in installation/commissioning of Networking system
• Good knowledge in converge network, wireless, security, routers, switches, firewall & network management software/ Voice (Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, Juniper, HP experience)
• Must be have good Experience in two or more of the following – wireless / security / routing / switching/ Voice
• Must have full network lifecycle experience including gathering requirements, design, test, documentation, configuration and maintenance

• Experience of working in a multinational and multicultural environment is an asset
• Basic knowledge of Project execution processes
• Provide post-sales support to customers

• Timely & systematic project documentation
• Project execution with minimum supervision
• Commercial awareness
