Job Title:                                           Unified Communication Engineer

Reports to:                                       Team Lead – Unified communication

JOB PURPOSE

AFT is leading system integrator and managed services provider in the field of ICT, ELV and software application solution. Unified communication Engineer is required to provide installation, testing, commissioning and support in ICT and data networking field.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordinate with presales and sales team to design ICT solution as per requirement of customer.
  • Implement the solution as specified
  • After sales support maintenance as per SLA signed with customers
  • Plan, configure and oversee the implementation of Unified communication solutions in co-ordination with customers, principals, service providers, and business partners to ensure implementation meets design parameters.
  • Work on design and implementation of UC related infrastructure.
  • Providing post-sales support to customers.
  • Advanced Diagnostics (Tier 3 Technical Support) for Unified Communication Solutions :( i.e. Integration between hardware & software, messaging, UC/CC, CTI, applications, call accounting, recording and Complex multi-vendor solutions. )
  • Incident Management (Break/fix) activities including, but not limited to:
    a)            Determining best means to get system back up and running to original specifications.
    b)            Coordinating the repair/replacement of failed equipment.
    c)            Maintain current working knowledge of relevant system technologies
  • Attending service requests, preventive maintenance health checks.
  • Perform change management activities.
  • Ensure the committed timelines are met for the projects at customer sites within the agreed scope, cost and quality.
  • Ensure all project deliverables are tracked and communicated as per customer requirements
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining enterprise level network hardware and applications.
  • Provide support for project implementation & documentation.
  • Training to customers on system usage.
  • Prioritizing workload to maximize productivity and minimize customer downtime.
  • Ensure Customer Satisfaction with 24x7 Support

 

JOB CONTEXT

This position operates within the context of Unified communication solutions. The Alcatel – Lucent, Cisco or Avaya trained and certified engineer will be part of the team to analyse, design, build, test and deploy the unified communication solutions. Job seeker must have excellent hands on experience to perform the job.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate engineer or Diploma holder in Electronics / Telecom / IT/ computer science

Experience:

  • Must have minimum 5 years of experience in Alcatel Lucent voice solutions or from similar vendor
  • Technical Subject matter expertise on of Alcatel Lucent Unified Communication Solutions.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with voice and data infrastructure.

Technical Skills:

  • Expert Level Certifications in Alcatel Lucent voice solutions/ACSE or from similar vendor.
  • Expert in implementing Alcatel Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise, OpenTouch Multimedia Services, Rainbow solutions, UC Applications, multi-vendor integrations.
  • Extensive design, implementation and post –sales experience of UC solutions.
  • Experience in commissioning and support services of Unified communication solutions along with data networking.
  • Must have full solutions lifecycle experience including gathering requirements, design, test, documentation, configuration and maintenance.
  • Excellent incident, problem management and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of UC-related protocols, SIP based infrastructure, UC applications, and integrations.
