This position will be responsible for supervising the invoicing, accounting, collections, and customer service for all employee receivables, including salary overpayments and non-revenue travel charges. Provide guidance as a Team Lead to Specialists/Sr. Specialists in the handling of team member/retiree cases. Team Lead provides on-going, day to day leadership and is responsible for determining, implementing, and monitoring the effectiveness of the training plan for the group. This position will also serve as a liaison to the IT development team as they work to build new IT systems and tools for employee receivables.
What you'll do

Leads, mentors, and coaches team members

Oversees new employee and recurrent training as needed

Develops new strategies and initiatives to reduce outstanding receivable balances

Supports various IT project initiatives, by serving as a liaison to the development team, providing insight and knowledge of business process

Interacts directly with current/former team members on escalated cases from collections team

Reviews and book accounting journal entries

Ability to communicate verbally and written, with all levels within the organization

Flexibility with modification of schedule as needed to meet workflow demands

Assists with ad hoc analysis/reporting
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- High school diploma
- At least two years of work experience in an accounting/finance role
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or other quantitative discipline
- Leadership experience
- Previous collections experience
- Previous experience as a team member in an agile project management framework
- Experience reviewing and booking accounting journal entries
- Previous knowledge of SAP FI accounting system
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Superior interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate tense customer interactions
- Ability to intuitively understand complext financial IT systems
- Excellent problem solving abilities and logicial decision making skills
- Ability to handle multiple critical issue tasks simultaneously
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office, products (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
