  • ​This job is a member of the Credit Union Team within the American Airlines Credit Union.
  • ​Responsible for providing excellent service to members and front line staff, with the account & loan file maintenance adjustments, servicing all insurance products, maintaining credit bureau reporting, resolving and responding to disputes, record corrections and clean up and additional servicing needs.

What you'll do

  • Answers Department ACD calls, including those from unsatisfied members
  • Processes credit disability and life insurance claims
  • Processes collateral protection insurance
  • Processes GAP Claims
  • Provides follow up documentation or information requested for insurance claims
  • Processes modifications and corrections for consumer loans and accounts
  • Facilitates credit insurance premium processing, including reviews of exception reports
  • Performs Credit Bureau file maintenance
  • Researches and resolves errors for consumer loans and accounts
  • Researches and resolves member credit bureau disputes and ensures responses comply with regulatory requirements
  • Processes loan and account adjustments and corrections
  • Tests Servicing Systems functionality
  • Assists with other miscellaneous Loan and Account Servicing department duties
  • Ensures the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​1 year Credit Union or financial institution experience
  • Customer service experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
  • Ability to exercise excellent member service skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and interact professionally with all employees and members
  • Ability to recognize and suggest opportunities for improvement
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and analyze data
  • Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to pass applicable American Airlines pre-hire compliance checks
  • Must have an acceptable credit history, which will be verified
