Estimator – Used Unit Business (x2) | FAMCO, Commercial Vehicles & Material Handling Equipments | Dubai
The Estimator for the Used Business is primarily responsible for estimating the fair value of used units in line with overall market situation and support the sales team.
The key responsibilities are as follows:
- Buying pre-owned commercial vehicles / industrial units as required by the inputs from the Sales Team, Stock Target report and the daily stock availability report
- Ensuring that the KPIs of Purchase, Stock Age, Trade Sales and Gross Margin are met or excelled
- Appraising the commercial vehicles/units technically and accurately estimating preparation expenses and valuing it as per latest valuation guide and Stock Target / availability reports
- Providing trade-in services to New Units Sales Executives by appraising and valuating part exchange
- Completing the negotiation, purchasing and transfer of legal ownership of the purchased vehicle /unit and providing the required documents to the Administration department in order to process the purchase
- Ensuring that the vehicles / units are purchased with all required accessories
- Awareness on competitor activities/their products and discuss the data with the Sales Manager to facilitate the necessary strategic planning by the management.
- Document and maintain all records pertaining to the area of activity for future reference and for use by the Sales Managers.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Must be educated to Degree level or equivalent in any discipline
- Previous Estimator OR Buying OR sales experience is must in the fields of Commercial Vehicles (trucks and buses) construction equipments, industrial machineries and material handling equipments
- Experienced in used unit sales is preferred
- 3+ years of experience in the field
- Have the technical ability to appraise vehicles and estimate their repair cost
- Excellent communication, selling and negotiation skills
- Be able to tactfully handle customer grievances and feel confident in resolving customer complaints
- Strong relationship building skills with the ability to deal with people of diverse nationalities at various levels
- Competent in using MS Office
- UAE driving license, Heavy Vehicle is preferred
- Ability to speak, write and read English to deal with supervisors and customers
- PC literate; knowledge of SAP preferred; relationship builder; the ability to build and maintain friendly, warm relationships with customers, good listener
Job-Specific Skills Behavioral Competencies:
- Must have quantitative and analytical skills and PC proficiency
- Must be fluent English, Arabic and any other language considered an added advantage
- Must have excellent negotiation influencing and customer service skills
- Must be an effective communicator
