Responsible for leading our diverse DevOps automation efforts interfacing with multiple teams within the organization.
What you'll do
- Collaborates with leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads and other developers, along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop needs according to business
- Supports the development of coding standards and adheres to best practices and security guidelines
- Works closely with software architects and technical leads to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs
- Create documentation and release notes
- Follow CI/CD best practice
- Stays current with systems technology best practices and changing technologies, in order to maintain domain expertise and recommend enhancements or changes
- Encourages an environment of sharing and team work among the team.
- Provides guidance to engineers and assists when and where necessary
- Travels, as required
- Mandatory rotational schedule for on-call off-hours support
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- 3 years of experience with automation, specifically with automation tools or deployment automation scripting.
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- 5+ years of experience with Automation tools. Technical experience should include setup and implementation experience
- 3+ years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications in hosted production environments
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React
- Strong working experience with server-side languages such as Java, Python
- Good working knowledge of API development. Typescript, Node JS, REST API, JSON
- Good knowledge of relational database. Familiarity with database technology such as PostgreSQL, MySQL.
- Working experience using Git in a continuous integration and continuous delivery environment.
- Cloud experience with Docker container and Kubernetes is a plus
- Experience in Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM
- A team player who works and communicates well with technical and non-technical resources. Need to have excellent oral and written communication skills and possess the ability to work with limited direction while being highly productive.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and implement solutions and/or workarounds
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge
- Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
- Proficiency in Agile project management methodology, specifically within infrastructure area
- Working knowledge of Unix and Windows environments
