- This job is a member of the Strategic Leisure Team within the Sales Organization, part of the Customer Division.
- Responsible for meeting American Airlines' revenue objectives and redefining American Airlines' position in the leisure market globally. This include key channels such as Cruise Lines, Tour Operators, Consolidators, Student and Humanitarian specialists, Asia-Pacific accounts and Luxury Leisure operators. This also includes a portfolio of high-yield corporate and business agencies specialized in the Asia-Pacific market.
What you'll do
- Selects, leads, coaches and develops a team of up to eight Account Manager sales professionals responsible to meet American Airlines revenue and profitability targets
- Influences all stakeholders internally and externally to ensure American Airlines delivers the most optimal products and programs in the marketplace
- Advocates for teamwork and is responsible for driving cultural change
- Establishes personal connections within our customer's organizations up to CEO level to strengthen AA's position
- Uses solid commercial knowledge and acumen to collaborate on joint strategies with key partner departments, including Revenue Management, Network Planning, Sales Planning, Agency Programs, Sales Operations
- Leverages solid understanding of the airline and travel industry to innovate and deliver a unique value proposition that differentiates AA in the marketplace
- Manages relationship with AA's Joint Business partners
- Uses the power of analytics to drive unique insights and strategies
- Represents American Airlines with community and travel industry partners (e.g. trade group Associations; Chambers of Commerce; Community Organizations)
- Must be willing to travel very frequently – up to 50% at certain times; both Domestic and International trips
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training
- 5 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Master's degree
- 3 years of experience in an airline commercial department
- Experience working across different cultures
