  • ​Responsible for performing various administrative duties to support to the Senior Vice President and other leaders and team members for American Airlines Credit Union.

What you'll do

  • ​Answers telephone and email inquiries and ensures issues are resolved
  • Manages schedule, calendar, and travel arrangements
  • Schedules meetings, coordinates attendance participation, and arranges for meeting space and refreshments
  • Complies and prepares presentations, charts, and graphs for monthly updates to the Credit Union Board of Directors, as well as other committees or senior staff
  • Handles incoming and outgoing mail, including contracts and invoices
  • Coordinates supply purchases for the organization
  • Prepares correspondence, reports, memos, and presentations
  • Compiles accurate meeting notes
  • Creates and maintains filing system
  • Reviews and reconciles credit card statements, expense reports and invoices
  • Organizes events for departmental employee recognition
  • Provides back-up administrative coverage for the Executive Assistant to the CEO, as needed
  • Types 35 to 50 WPM
  • Lifts up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
  • Ensures the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​High school diploma or GED equivalency

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​1 year executive administrative assistant experience
  • Credit Union or bank experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • ​Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of discretion and confidentiality in carrying out duties
  • Skilled in command of grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and successfully manage multiple task/projects simultaneously
  • Ability to demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills, along with capacity for attention to detail
  • Ability to self-motivate with demonstrated initiative and flexibility
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in performing job functions
  • Ability to cooperate and synergize well with staff and all other departments in the Credit Union
  • Ability to learn new systems used in the financial services industry
  • Ability to pass applicable American Airlines pre-hire compliance checks
  • Must have an acceptable credit history, which will be verified
