The Manager, Executive Recruitment will build a strong strategy to lead the Talent Advisor, Executive Recruitment team members, responsible to deliver an individual and tailored recruitment experience to all internal and external candidates for the “Director level and above” positions at American Airlines. This position is a member of the Global Talent Acquisition Team within the People/HR Division and will report directly to the Head of Executive Recruitment.
What you'll do
- Partners with executive leaders to gain a deep understanding of their organization’s structure, department goals and potential talent gaps in order support the hiring of “Director level and above” talents to drive business impact
- Leads and execute “full life cycle of recruiting” for all open “Director level and above” positions within the organization, diving a world class, consistent, end-to-end candidate experience
- Conducts thorough intake sessions, builds recruitment strategies, assesses and presents qualified candidates, schedules interviews, debriefs with interview panelists, influences hiring decisions and provides timely updates throughout the recruitment process for both candidates and hiring managers
- Design and build a sourcing infrastructure for our executive roles, that allows our team to build long term relationships with potential candidates
- Builds an intentional and diverse talent pipeline of qualified internal and external candidates for our executive roles
- Gains understanding and visibility of internal pipeline candidates by partnering with HRBP’s and Talent Management teams to support internal growth and succession planning
- Maintains strong cross functional partnerships with business, HR/business partners, hiring managers and other talent acquisition functions
- Identify opportunities to solve problems and improve our processes with a focus on scalability and global inclusivity
- Responds to Executive Recruitment and talent acquisition inquiries from business leaders, hiring managers, leadership teams, etc.
- Maintains up-to-date applicant records for accurate reporting, analysis as well as process improvement ideas to be implemented
- Educates business partners and hiring managers on market and industry trends as well as organizational updates and state of the business
- Leads the team that will be responsible for supporting the company’s Executive Recruitment efforts
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally within a Business or HR concentration, or equivalent experience
- 7 years’ experience in Talent Acquisition in large, complex global organizations
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Prior Experience with Executive Recruitment
- Experience in designing, implementing and delivering Executive Recruitment strategies
- Proven results in attracting the very top talent in specialized fields
- SAP SuccessFactors experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Ability to provide an individual tailored Executive candidate experience
- Knowledge of best in class “talent search tools” within the market
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Energetic, forward-thinking, creative, and able to challenge assumptions while providing a high-quality work product
- Flexible and comfortable with ambiguity, able to embrace change
- Collaborative and comfortable in client centric environment with a commitment to excellent service quality
