  • Responsible for leading planning and communications strategies for a wide variety of American Airlines products and services. Works closely with Business Unit stakeholders to craft impactful communications and marketing plans  that engage new and existing customers and drive product awareness and conversion. This role serves as a Team Lead with two direct reports.

What you'll do

  • ​Builds strong relationships with stakeholders, including Product, Inflight Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Customer Experience Delivery, Global Engagement and all internal Marketing teams to gain clear understanding of marketplace, stakeholder plans and priorities, how initiatives support our brand, as well as monitor product performance
  • Acts as a strategic thought leader, guiding direct reports to develop plans that deliver results for their respective business partners
  • Maintains and socializes planning calendars, key messages and competitive claims 
  • Works closely with Product & Innovation to identify opportunities and write marketing contracts  
  • Builds product launch and sustainment marketing communications plans, and project manage asset creation
  • Secures and traffics placements in relevant channels to maximize reach and performance  
  • Analyzes performance and identifies new channel opportunities 
  • Consolidates and presents well-communicated plans and results to senior leadership, working with Email, Advertising, Social Media, Performance Marketing, Publications, B2B Marketing, Insights & Analytics and Corporate Communications

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Bachelor's degree (preferably in marketing, advertising, communications or journalism) of equivalent experience/training
  • 3-6 years of marketing or communications experience
  • Project Management experience

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Marketing/ad agency experience
  • Familiarity with Asana and HTML
  • Copywriting experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • ​Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage many projects under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of marketing techniques and strategies, with track record of success building and executing on product marketing plansAbility to network and build strong relationships with various internal stakeholders 
  • Ability to handle large workload and changing priorities with limited direction with ease
  • Demonstrated success using Microsoft Office Excel for reporting and analytics
  • Resourceful, proactive and adaptable to changing circumstances
  • High level of integrity, respect and team spirit
