  • This role is responsible for managing multiple global training projects within the Cargo Training Delivery team. This position oversees formalized training programs for Cargo’s Business Units including Operations, Sales, Revenue Management, Accounting, Contact Centers and Regional Carriers.
  • Establishes global harmonization with regulatory agencies (FAA, TSA, OSHA, etc.) and works directly in partnership with Corporate Security, Safety Compliance, Corporate Audits and HAZMAT Compliance.
  • Lead efforts related to developing, delivering and maintaining existing training curricula.
  • The role is a part of the Cargo Training Delivery team within our Airport Readiness group.

What you'll do

  • Plans, schedules, and prioritize project activities to meet business unit and regulatory objectives and deliverables.
  • Coordinates global field training delivery requests, including station starts & business partner changes with Cargo Corporate Trainers.
  • Collaborates with the curricula development team on training projects, including development timelines.
  • Coordinates global implementation of e-learning, blended learning and on-demand training for 8000+ employees.
  • Conducts initial training requirements gathering with applicable business units to include annual forecasts.
  • Represents Cargo Training at various forums including Fleet Service Business Council, Cargo Sales.
  • Agent Advisory Boards, and IATA/TSA working groups.
  • Develops and coordinates quarterly and annual class schedules for TCC.
  • Oversees training manual and course catalog maintenance for compliance.
  • Review's vendor developed learning programs to ensure validity in SLA and compliance with American Airlines polices.
  • Oversees high-quality training programs to ensure they meet educational validity operationally through adult learning methodologies.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Proven success leading teams, building effective relationships, and collaborating across a wide variety of cross functional teams and initiatives
  • Successfully multi-tasking and planning for implementation of business initiatives
  • Proven experience participating in change projects
  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SharePoint, Learning Hub, Concur and iCargo application
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to articulate complex requirements
  • Previous airport management experience in Cargo and/or Station Operations
  • Program management experience & prior experience in the field of learning and development a plus

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SharePoint, Learning Hub and iCargo application
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to articulate complex requirements
  • Proven collaboration skills working across cross functional teams
  • Must have outstanding organizational and multitasking skills; must be detailed orientated
  • Hands-on experience managing large-scale project(s) and implementing
