  • Responsible for working with our airline partners to identify and design data driven marketing strategies to engage customers and drive revenue.

What you'll do

  • Collaborates with our oneworld alliance partners and non-alliance partners to identify revenue opportunities and deliver customer-focused initiatives that drive engagement with the AAdvantage program
  • Develops the strategy for personalized engagement and targeting efforts for AAdvantage member campaigns by utilizing all aspects of customer data, including customer segmentation, demographic and transactional data, and customer’s historic engagement and operational experience profile
  • Designs campaigns to increase ROI, which includes significant collaboration with Customer Insights and Operations Research to apply advanced analytics techniques to campaign strategy and incorporating customer insights from a variety of sources (e.g. transactional data, surveys, inbound calls, campaign responses, service issues, etc.) into a more comprehensive and consistent view of the customer
  • Collaborates with multiple departments, including Loyalty, Marketing, Revenue Management, Operations Research and other customer-facing workgroups to identify customer engagement and revenue opportunities
  • Supports and collaborates with Promotions Marketing Analyst on all marketing efforts to support the campaign strategy
  • Works with Product Owner on development of current and new technology to support the campaign platforms based on business strategy
  • Analyzes and reports on campaign results and explores opportunities for improved targeting efforts
  • Maintains and develops relationships with key flight partners
  • Presents findings of research and analysis to all key stakeholders, including advanced deck building

All you'll need for success

  • Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
    • 3 years of experience in a marketing role or an aviation-focused commercial role 
  • Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
    • Master’s degree in business administration, business analytics, operations management, data science, or related field
    • Experience in airline data and systems
    • Experience in airline industry economic and market analysis including customer segmentation and revenue management
    • Familiarity with business Intelligence tools and dashboard, including Tableau, Excel and IBM Cognos
  • Skills, Licenses & Certifications
    • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint
    • Knowledge and experience with data mining and analytics tools including SQL
    • Problem solving and analytical skills
    • Skills in Data analysis using complex data sets
    • Self-starter who solicits input from several sources
    • Ability to move projects forward without deadlines as well as effectively work under tight time constraints as needed
    • Ability to balance multiple projects concurrently
    • Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively communicate and work with diverse business groups
    • Knowledge and understanding of customer data and customer interactions specific to the airline as well as customer experience management best practices across industries
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and creative thinking skills
    • Ability to develop creative solutions and innovative strategies to drive real business results
