  • This job is a member of the Regional Planning team within the Finance division.

  • This team has the unique opportunity to work with multiple groups (both internally and externally) while making decisions that directly improve performance for over half of American Airline’s daily departures. The position will be active in examining all aspects of the regional business, including project work covering a wide variety of strategic, financial, and operational analyses.

What you'll do

  • Liaise with Ops Performance and Planning and Network Planning to implement schedule review comments and oversee schedule phasing issues for special projections
  • Drive operational reliability through schedule improvement initiatives
  • Lead manpower planning readiness initiatives across the regional carriers and ground handlers
  • Act as the point of contact externally, and source of truth internally, for crew capability information from regional carriers
  • Develop forecasts and presentations to provide internal recommendations regarding staffing supportability and special programs
  • Lead and liaise with Ops Performance and Planning Team on deep dive projects
  • Track and report on monthly performance across 6 carriers and 2 ground handlers
  • Develop competitive industry studies and key performance indicator (KPI) metrics

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Aviation, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent experience
  • At least 3+ years of commercial or operational experience

Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience

  • MBA preferred
  • Preferable work experience in Network Planning, Financial Planning, Revenue Management, Fleet Planning, etc.

Skills, Licenses, & Certifications

  • Advanced experience with Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentation development
  • Possess sound strategic business analysis acumen with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a changing environment
