  • ​This job is a member of the Instructional Media - Reservations Team within the Customer Experience Division.
  • Responsible for developing training and creating videos while applying instructional design techniques and incorporating adult learning methodologies. Collaborates and partners with various work groups to produce desired learning outcomes and improve employee performance.

What you'll do

  • ​Maintains new to function training programs according to new policy changes, program updates and system updates
  • Creates and develops new programs to support Reservations and Service Recovery
  • Creates storyboards, designs and develops interactive web-based training programs using Articulate
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates training programs following department standards and guidelines while producing desired learning outcomes to support performance goals
  • Conducts needs analysis to determine root cause
  • Determines course objectives and the appropriate sequence in which to address them,
  • Develops assessment items that accurately measure learning outcomes 
  • Compiles and analyzes data regarding pre/post assessments, surveys and evaluations to identify trends, and improve performance
  • Creates videos which includes story boarding, script writing, editing and rendering using Camtasia
  • Employs a variety of teaching strategies conducive to motivating learning, including examples, practices and interactivities
  • Partners with various workgroups, such as Continuous Improvement, Reservations Procedures, Service Recovery, etc.
  • Remains current with instructional design industry trends

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • 2 years related experience
  • At least one year of technical writing experience applying training methodologies

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Master’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • At least three years’ experience of technical writing applying instructional design to performance-based training
  • Experience developing a new training program
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Proficient in Camtasia and Articulate 360

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Fundamental knowledge of instructional design and adult learning methodologies
  • Strong interpersonal skills; highly approachable and professional always
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and efficiently ensuring that deadlines are met
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Employs a variety of teaching strategies conducive to motivating learning, including examples, practice, and interactivity
