About the Role

 

Graphic & Web designer with experience in content management systems to support content design and creation for the Watsons Brand. The ideal candidate will be someone who has a proven track record in designing and the ability to execute and deliver against a strategic plan necessary to improve the business and meet tight deadlines. Somebody with a creative flair, but able to work within strict brand guidelines, this candidate will have the ability to bring fresh new ideas to the table. A positive person with a hands-on approach to getting involved, this person must be friendly and approachable with a good team ethic.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Produce graphic content in line with agreed design briefs for site changes/maintenance and new projects, including page layouts, email designs, social media, site graphics, banner ads and flash animations.
  • Work with the Design & Content Specialist to analyse effectiveness of content and continually optimise future designs.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness of competitor and market design initiatives and trends and share knowledge/best practice with colleagues.
  • Adhere to the Online Brand Guidelines, ensuring that content conforms to the brand guidelines at all times.
  • Set and administer design and document format guidelines.
  • Ensure the web sites comply with legal and regulatory guidelines, including web best practice and Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) accessibility standards.
  • Working within tight timeframes to create customer-centric, commercially successful, and appealing brand designs.
  • Develop effective brand campaigns through both offline and online marketing platforms.
  • Collaboration with the commercial team on visual conceptualization, strategy, and planning
  • Produce high-quality social and onsite content
  • Work with the internal team to manage and execute monthly schedules for social media, digital marketing, and offline visuals
  • Manage deadlines and collaborate with external agencies on projects.
  • Collaborate with the team to guarantee design consistency.
  • Create outstanding creative directions and dynamic material for campaigns that are consistent with the brand's identity and guidelines.
  • Working on adapting the brand visual aspects to the GCC region.

 

About You

To be successfully considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience within a fast-paced eCommerce organisation / agency.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience working as Graphic Designer
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent certification, in Digital Art or Design, Advertising, Illustration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Competence in using the Adobe Creative Suite, Creative Cloud and Sketch.
  • Validating ideas and designs using split A/B tests and product performance
  • Strong independent decision-making, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive and flexible.
  • Accuracy
  • Excellent English Communication skills
  • Good Analytical skills & Interpersonal skills
  • Individual accountability
