Overview of the role
This position will be responsible for the analysis and interpretation of commercial trends requiring management’s attention and will independently generate analysis to support ideas. The job holder needs to assist in the analysis, formulation, and data recommendation to management for decision making and presentation to the commercial team and the principals. The job holder will be required to undertake projects and administrative tasks as and when required by the VP to raise the organisational productivity of the company. Capability to work with different levels team within the organisation, capacity to negotiate and impose his ideas, stress resistant, capacity to work hard and respect deadlines with high levels of anticipation.
What you will do
Business Analytics & Commercial Reviews
- Originate and develop analysis to help commercial team better understand commercial and financial trends and financial opportunities
- Steers preparations for trade and principles’ meetings with business stakeholders.
- Manage meetings and relationships with the commercial team to ensure appropriate reports’ submissions, cost control, and insightful business understanding.
- Steering regional initiatives related to the division in MENA, supporting efficiencies and effectiveness and ensuring quality of deliverables throughout the process.
- Lead the weekly and monthly retail trade meetings for the division and ensure the presentation packs are ready and validated before the meetings
Communication
- Establish effective communication channels with the commercial team members in the division as well as stores’ managers when required.
- Review existing reporting protocols in management, finance, purchasing, marketing and human resources and ensure timely submissions for the visibility of the VP.
- Appropriate interactions with project stakeholders and process owners. Develop strong collaborative relationship with & ensure key stakeholders for projects are identified and engaged.
Office Administration and Record Management
- Effective management of the VP’s communications and daily business itinerary and schedule priorities, systems’ approvals for the business requirements in addition to the direct reporting lines’ approval requirements from VP’s side.
- Proactive preparation for strategic meetings such as EXCO, retail committee, investment committee, budgets, and financial periodical forecasts.
- Efficient handling of the arrangements of meetings for MENA businesses and coverage for ASIA at times when required by the VP.
- Maintaining the weekly movement status of the commercial team
Required Skills to be successful
- Expert proficiency with KPIs, Business Reports, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Work, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).
- Experience taking the “minutes” at Senior Executive Management Meetings and assisting with special requests & presentations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
- High degree of professionalism in dealing with stakeholders Ability to make appropriate, informed decisions regarding priorities and available time.
- Have the autonomy to complete tasks and projects as assigned by the VP with minimal guidance.
- Excellent judgement is essential.
What Equips you for the role
- Bachelors / master’s degree (preferably business/statistics preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience; 5 years in business analysis & planning roles
- Solid experience as a Business Analyst working with the VP/ Director for a major organization in Retail Fashion \ Luxury Goods industry preferred
- Experience in managing Complex Fashion Retail projects in GCC preferred
