Overview of the Role:

The JH will be responsible to lead all Marketing activities (Stores & E-com) for KSA including other new territories. He/she will develop, plan and implement marketing strategies and programs aimed at promoting the products/brands to help enhance and grow business volumes and increase brand equity and awareness

What you will do:

Marketing Strategy:  

In coordination with the Division Heads, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing effective marketing and promotional strategies for all brands. You must aim to communicate the brand identity and innovate Marketing within each business

Budget & Marketing calendar:  

Create a Marketing calendar per brand, per market to support the local Trade Plan and seasonality of the business. In discussion with the various Heads of Finance across all businesses, you should draw a brand spend strategy keeping in mind the seasonality and trends involved in each of the businesses. Compile the overall budget and exercise effective budgetary control through the year to highlight any variances for immediate action

Meet footfall targets:

Agree on footfall targets with Management team per brand, per region, per store and ensure the targets are met on a weekly basis through a mix of online & offline marketing channels. Support the e-commerce websites through website visitation and customer journey planning

New Stores:

Manage new store openings and market. Plan and manage new store openings. Work closely with all relevant teams including Buying to sign off grid plans, way plan & sequential links.

Identify areas that need focused marketing and track improvement in performance

Work with the Operations team to support the correct range and price in different format stores

Manage teams effectively:

Lead a team of Marketing and Design colleagues encouraging free thought, learning opportunities and efficient performances and development

Liaison with partners:  

Effectively lead all liaisons with representatives of the various agencies across all businesses (media, social media, creative, PR, etc.) to ensure timely and efficient execution of campaigns as well as accurate reporting

Customer Database: & Loyalty

Collaborate with the Central Retail CRM team to effectively use the brand customer database to craft, run and measure strategic campaigns

Corporate and Brand

  • Promote Brand and Corporate Values throughout the Commercial team and the ways of working.
  • Ensuring the relationship with Principals and partners is nurtured and established to build sustainable business partnerships.
  • Compliance to Principal standard operating procedures, guidelines, and relevant policies
  • Regularly and proactively liaise with Principals on marketing related issues and maintain good relationship

 

People Management

  • Work closely with HR Business Partner to develop tactics to recruit, onboard a new team to deliver business deliverables
  • Manage, empower, and motivate a management team to achieve business targets, manage costs and to strive for excellence in meeting their objectives.
  • Coaching and developing the management team
  • Define and identify critical roles ensuring there’s a succession is a key responsibility.
  • Work with HR Business Partner to deliver targeted people solutions to create employee engagement, compliance to HR Policies and local legislation
  • Motivate and support the teams within the various functions to strive for one clear goal and to build a cohesive, focused team. Enthuse the team to strive towards the common goal.
  • Benchmark people KPIs with HR to drive productivity and hold line managers accountable for improvement.

What equips you for the role:

 

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing/ advertising or relevant field
  • Minimum Experience and Knowledge:  A minimum of 5 years managerial experience specializing in 360 marketing channels with an understanding of emerging marketing channels

Preferably someone with experience in retail and DIY/ Home improvement

 

  • Job-Specific/Technical Skills required to complete the tasks: Excellent interpersonal skill and strong leadership skill

Must have strong analytical and business acumen skills

Must be attentive to details, resourceful, self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and urgency in meeting tight deadlines

Able to think creatively and innovatively to identify trends and challenges

Excellent in MS Office such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Excellent in written and verbal communication skills

Must be able to speak and write fluently in English; Arabic is a plus

Strong creative sense, with an eye for design and creative writing

Eagerness to collaborate and ability to work with senior executives up to Board Level
