Overview of the role

Plan and manages digital experience of customer centric digital products in both online and in-store to make IKEA more accessible digitally whenever the customers choose to meet us.  Contribute to the execution of the strategic roadmap for IKEAs digital transformation journey by optimizing innovative and cost-effective solutions leveraging latest technology. Manage the digital experience optimization projects efficiently by meeting deadlines and business goals in agile way using all the aspects of managing UX projects including wireframing, prototyping, process mapping, resourcing, requirements gathering, roadmap, solutioning, risk identification, implementation, quality checking, maintenance plans.

 

What you will do

  • Plans and managers the execution of UX & functional changes by developing product/feature launch strategy with all stakeholders;
  • Provide overall direction on UX process to team that typically span multiple units and may also include outside suppliers/vendors.
  • Ensures user experience for Digital Channel is consistent with the First Entertainment brand and is intuitive and member-friendly;
  • Supports digital’s vision and strategies and leads efforts to enhance digital experiences in various relevant channels;
  • Ensures UX, functionality and overall experience are optimized to meet customer demands
  • Create flexible resource allocation for digital experience and UX projects, to deliver the fast-changing priorities, build ability for rapid iteration and experimentation 
  • Establish and follow-up key digital experience indicators that are aligned with the digital performance and overall business performance indicators/ KPIs of IKEA
  • Work closely with the transformation leads and head of roles, to shift digital experience roadmap priorities as to secure the resources availability
  • Plan and manage high quality execution and delivery within defined scope.
  • Overall responsible for digital experience along with driving continuous improvement process based on customer/user feedback and real data analysis
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional partners and stakeholders as needed on status, risks and accomplishments to ensure alignment with the overall project goals.
  • Adhere to technology governance policies and processes.
  • Establish digital experience strategy and initiate project mobilization by confirming project scope, estimate resources, roles and responsibilities
  • Prepare and follow-up budgets and timelines for digital experience enhancement across all the digital channels and platforms
  • Demonstrates innovation and solutioning using combination of Customer experience mapping in retail and digital knowledge.
  • Be responsible for the business aspects of the Digital experience. Along with Digital project team, manage project budget, debrief, identify deviations and secure delivery within agreed budget frames.
  • Ability to apply agile analysis techniques for creating user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Ability to demonstrates strong IKEA leadership skills, by using sound judgments to make timely and effective decisions
  • Challenge the current way of working and help find better solutions ¬- with simplicity and highest quality at lowest cost in mind.

What equips you for the role

  • University degree in computer science and/or digital development
  • Design Thinking, Product development and project management experience
  • Knowledge about digital technologies and applications (e.g. search, social, mobile, Ecommerce, agile development, web design, kiosks)
  • Knowledge in various agile project management tools like Jira
  • Knowledge in enhancing Digital experience using various technology platforms related to Payments, Mobile app, Web, Loyalty, 3D, Augmented reality, Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning and in-store kiosk applications.
  • Thorough understanding about home furnishing business and other IKEA verticals like Food, Home business planning etc.
  • Ability to understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of technology as an integrated part of the business
  • Solid knowledge of Growing IKEA Together and IKEA Way of Working
  • Understanding of all aspects of the IKEA Digital customer experience in relation to relevant market and customer trends
  • Diverse leadership experiences in various situations
  • Experience in stakeholder and change management
  • Good written & spoken English
