The Al Futtaim group Enterprise IT (EIT) automotive team is seeking to hire a Technical Delivery Lead (Job Role)/General Manger (Organizational Role) in Dubai, UAE. This role reports to the IT Director Automotive. As a technical delivery lead, you will drive digital transformation initiatives to achieve target customer and employee experiences, leveraging digital technologies over a multi-tiered architecture.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the IT director in formulating and refining IT strategy, managing the IT operations, developing budget as per the budget planning cycles, providing the team guidance, and facilitate the delivery of work to achieve the target outcomes.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight to facilitate the delivery of work to achieve the target performance.
  • Support development of business cases, operating model changes, solutions, business buy-in; and integrate in planning and budgeting cycles and demand management process.
  • Lead the process of identifying the optimal solution for business needs, evaluate build vs. buy, select the right products in coordination with IT architecture, Information Security, and procurement teams.     
  • Work within governance structure (Business & EIT) to govern and prioritize the business IT demands, fully aligned to business strategy, and target operating model maturity.
  • Lead innovations by employing design thinking approach.
  • Coordinate the activities of the business product owners, technical product owners, Enterprise architects, solution architects and delivery team to deliver the target outcomes. Analyze and provide resolutions to issues to facilitate the smooth delivery of work.
  • Forge resilient and trusting relationship with senior business stakeholders including Managing Directors, General Managers to cohesively drive the strategic IT transformation agenda.
  • Oversee a lean, skilled, and fully engaged team working in a matrix structure; working with matrix leaders to plan and prioritize workloads, set objectives, input into annual appraisals, and support individuals to continually improve their performance and results.
  • Act as business integration point for IT Service Delivery, SLA agreement, major Service Incident Management and Service Improvement for assigned portfolio.

 

Candidate requirements:

 

Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science/IT/Engineering/Science; Preferably Management Training (MBA, etc.)

 

Minimum Experience and Knowledge: 

  • 15 years IT Experience, 5-10 Automotive Business experience; 3-5 years of experience in senior management level.

 

Job-Specific/Technical Skills required to complete the tasks:

  • Sound knowledge of Automotive distributor, dealer processes.
  • Strategic thinking and problem solving.
  • Leadership, team building skills.
  • Clear verbal and written communicator with ability to communicate to senior stakeholders and workforce.
  • Sound understanding of digital technologies and knowledge of current technical trends.
  • Proven experience in leading & managing digital transformation initiatives.
  • Proven experience in the implementation of large-scale IT solutions and management of complex technical IT landscape including CRM, ERPs, Middleware, Data and Analytics, Security tools, and business process tools.
  • Proven experience in projects based on multi-layered architecture composed of Microservices, APIs, and cloud-based technology stacks.
