Overview of the role:

A logistics assistant provides administrative support to the project team, logistics team, transportation departments of a company. Coordinate the daily operations of site facility and other requirements. Duties also include handling incoming and outgoing materials/shipping, document management, and resolving staff mobility service issues. LA also helps the warehouse team to ensure the proper receipt and delivery of products, finsihed goods, and materials.

 

What you will do:

Coordinate and liaise with internal and external parties, project team, businesses, Procurement, warehouse, and other Service Providers with regards to all required aspects of logistics management 
Maintain logs of fleets, equipments, In & Out traffic logs, waste management movements, scheduling the trips and manpower mobility. Also follow up on maintenance complaints, forwarding it to the concerned person and ensure the job is complete. 
Maintain & update registers, time sheets, site permits and related to site facilities on a regular basis. 
Assist the store team to setup the space for storage of site-based materials. Also, coordinate with theworkshop to organize the fleets to transfer the finished goods. Signing delivery notes upon receipt of shipments
Record all financial transactions including fuel bills, site-based operations expenses, logistics spend, hiring, maitenance and others in order to monitor the expenses vs budget
Coordinate with the accommodation in charge to organize the vehicles for the manpower movement and coordinate with the site HSE for the traffic management
Ensuring that the site facility remains clean, sanitary, and well-organized. Reporting all breakages and spills to the LM

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

Diploma holder or suitable experience gained in a similar role

 

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum 5 to 7 years work experience
• Experience in project site-based role prefered
• UAE/GCC experience preferred, not essential
