About The Job

This job is a member of the Information Technology Team, within the Information Technology Division. Provide IT inventory, asset management, and logistics support for desktop assets and associated peripherals (printers, monitors, keyboards, scanners, etc.) deployed throughout the company.  

 

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • Interfaces with AAAIT customers in person, via email and/or telephone to fulfill IT equipment requests.
  • Performs shipping and receiving functions for desktop assets and peripherals.
  • Performs data entry and asset tracking of various IT items, utilizing Cherwell as the primary database to record asset information and retrieve work orders.
  • Maintains inventory and ensures all shipments are entered and tracked via the Inventory Transfer module within Cherwell.
  • Monitors work queues in Cherwell to ship replacement devices to requesting stations in a prompt manner.
  • Follows return authorization (RMA) process for IT assets requiring vendor repair (i.e. Access Keyboards and monitors).
  • Supports desktop techs with station set-up/move/adds/changes from an inventory equipment perspective (i.e. recording asset information in Cherwell, preparing assets for return shipment to warehouse, etc.)
  • Participates in meetings related to implementing new or improved TDC procedures (i.e. Inventory Transfers, auditing, inventory control processes, etc.)
  • Work various shifts, holidays, on-call and travel as required

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience with mainframe inventory, work order, and/or asset management
  • 1 year of experience with PC computer hardware and peripherals
  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Prior experience within warehousing and/or inventory management environment
  • Ability to lift and package IT equipment for shipment (PC’s, printers, peripherals) up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis
  • Strong customer service, communication and organization skills
  • Must be a collaborative team player able to work independently and as part of an effective team
  • Possess valid driver's license & clean driving record
  • Supply Chain experience
  • Asset Management experience a plus
  • FedEx online experience
  • Lean concepts a plus
  • Attention to detail
