About the Role:

Support the regional marketing manager and senior marketing executive in the execution of campaigns and general marketing initiatives to help meet the business objectives across KSA and the GCC. The role entails executing the annual marketing plans through a wide-range of regional and global marketing activities, with a focus on brand campaigns in KSA and wider campaigns across the GCC that drive business targets and brand strategies. The role will work across the full marketing mix with great emphasis on digital ads and social media together with local content creation and global campaign adaptations.  Ability to plan and deliver end to end campaign management in line with business priorities and profit targets working across multiple stakeholders and agencies will be required.

 

The ability to multitask across digital campaigns, social media campaigns, CRM initiatives and campaign planning, public relations, organising events, local content creation, and research for Marks and Spencer in KSA and the GCC will part of the daily role. The work is often challenging, varied and exciting and requires attentions to detail, marketing experience in the region, proficiency in Arabic and English (written and verbal) and advanced communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

COMMERCIAL CALENDAR and MARKETING CAMPAIGNS

  • Support development of the annual marketing calendar with clearly defined and prioritized campaigns for marketing investment which support and promote the commercial priorities of the Business.
  • Effective partnership with Visual Merchandising and Buying to ensure in store and external marketing components are implemented to drive a cohesive look for the customer
  • Ensure coordination for permits with regards to promotion and events  
  • Support positioning of the brand in the local markets in line with Marketing Strategy (eg. Leadership position in Lingerie, improved price perception, brand alignment with influencers and local content creation etc)
  • Write   full marketing briefs for the agreed key commercial priorities and liaise with agencies for timely execution
  •  Liaise and network with a range of stakeholder’s customers, suppliers, agencies, mall marketing managers to ensure leverage opportunities and timely feedback with integration into overall marketing plan.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly updates and trading reports on Marketing Activity across all mediums. (ATL and BTL)
  • Work to deliver and report on events and activations with media/agencies/PR

 

Media Liaisons

  • Be confident in working and dealing with Media
  • Liaising and establishing good relations with PR teams to identify seasonal opportunities to support Marketing Plan

 

BRAND BUSINESS PARTNERING

BRAND – M&S UK

  • Liaising with M&S UK and International teams to ensure seasonal customer journey consistency and actively manage/own in house marketing library both UK and MENA
  • Collecting assets from UK and sharing with multi- function teams (VM, e-COM, Merchandising)

STORES

  • Visit and work with the Stores to define local communication opportunities    eg.  Mall Management Marketing, execute them in line with the Marketing Plan
  • Proactively communicate with stores with regards to permit approvals and their accuracy for seasonal /promotional activities

MARKET RESEARCH  

  • Coordinate implementation of research in the region
  • Come up with the consumer insight as a result of research and use it to drive the Marketing Plan and contribute to business reports  

Understand and elaborate important factors like, social demographics, local trends etc. which affect the communication and the offer to the market

BUDGETING & FINANCIAL RETURNS ON INVESTMENT

  • Support preparation of annual budgets.
  • Follow up invoices with agencies and Finance team and control the annual budget spend for the responsibility area.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations vs. budget to ensure accurate spending
  • Report the success of communications programs through analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and research studies (eg. Customer Satisfaction Index, Visitor & Sales performance) .

 

About You:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Marketing or Business Management Degree

Minimum Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Marketing Professional with a sound knowledge of marketing and brand management principles. Fashion Retail preferred
  • Social media and digital marketing experience is a must with sound knowledge of digital marketing concepts and best practices
  • Must have worked with global brands that operate in KSA and the wider GCC with in-depth knowledge and M&S
  • Can work independently and manage projects within tight deadlines
  • Must have strong communication skills in Arabic and English and be articulate to deal with queries from multiple stakeholders (written and spoken)
  • Must understand and interpret research to define consumer insight and leverage the understanding for developing Marketing Plans
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, excel, ppt)
