The Sales Manager - Facilities Management (FM) position operates within the context of leading excellence in winning maintenance contracts in FM/TFM, improve diversification & customer base.

Achieve Sales Targets:

  • Achieve sales targets set by the management.
  • Generate project/business opportunities and RFP’s through customer contact to meet company’s business plans and growth strategies.
  • Drive the sales process from inquiry/RFP coordination through “Closing the Deal”.
  • Track and report current status of potential projects, markets, Customer news, and developments.
  • Lead the development and preparation of RFP’s, Pre-Qualification, formal presentations.
  • Negotiate potential contract adaptations or extensions when needed.
  • Assess the targeted quality of business coming in; refocusing efforts if off track.

Developing sales strategies:

  • Develops sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Perform market research and identify areas in which the division can introduce new/future services that could provide competitive advantage and secure market share.
  • Track competitor’s strength, weakness, analyse and set the strategies for winning the contracts.
  • Continually track market trend and developments and update the team.

Design, create, implement sales & marketing plan to drive growth and increase branding opportunities:

  • Promote and develop visibility of services provided by the organisation.
  • Identify, meet and organize presentations to present to potential client.

Coordinating marketing campaigns with sales activities:

  • Develop and implement relationship strategies to maximise our chances of profitably securing strategically important new business.

Collaborate; build strong trusted working relationship with customers and colleagues:

  • Prospect new potential clients and maintain existing customer’s relationship to maximise our chances of profitably securing strategically important new business.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Management to prepare and implement the company’s Marketing and Business Development Plan and strategy for meeting business goals.
  • Liaise internally with other departments such as Commercial, Operation, Finance, Human Resources.
  • Act as a resource person for management with respect to sales and marketing issues.
  • Drive innovation. Encourage the sharing of ideas within the team and across divisions.
  • Responsible for the performance and development of the sales executives. Prepare action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
  • Work with operations to develop the co-operation between sales and Operations.
  • Provide feedback to operation supporting continual operations improvements and market best practice service.

The Sales Manager - Facilities Management (FM) will report to the Head of Sales, however, channels exists for direct communication with the General Manager and other member from the senior leadership team at weekly meetings or as and when required. 

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's Degree. Masters in Business Administration is an asset. Minimum of 7+ years proven progressive business development, sales, experience in the similar industry (min 5 years in GCC). Must have continuous and exclusive total facilities management experience of min 5 years.

Highly organised and self-motivated person who can efficiently and effectively manage a wide range of tasks and objectives. Excellent verbal communication skills in order to deliver persuasive and effective presentations, sales pitches, networking, negotiations, internal communications and relationship management. Should have won business through developing client relationships centred on solutions that deliver business excellence to both client and contractor. Strong track record in a service industry operating at management level, where client relationships are essential. Has good networks within the FM and/or Property Industry including competitors, clients and suppliers. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at levels. Budget and costing skills. Strong knowledge & hands-on experience in computer aided facilities management system (CAFM). Excellent know-how in UAE laws and regulations. Ability to identify the training needs of team members, coach and guide team for better employee engagement. Ability to understand and work with commercial requirements like plan cost, budgets limits, profit and loss. Willing to continuously upgrade on current industry standards, best practices.

The Sales Manager - Facilities Management (FM) will have to demonstrate excellent leadership qualities, be customer focused and be able to handle multiple and often conflicting priorities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Sound communication and articulation skills. A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards in a diverse workplace. Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization. It is essential the incumbent should have excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style. Excels at operating in a fast pace, community environment. Have the ability to look at situations from several points of view. Delegate responsibilities effectively. Excellent problem analytical skills and problem simulation. Should have a high comfort level working in a diverse environment. Open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done. Manage cross-functional relationships effectively. Strong verbal and writing skills, with regards to contractual communication. People management skills & problem solving skills. Excellent managerial & administrative skills however at the same time hands on with day to day business operations. Detail oriented and good reporting skills. Establish clear lines of communication both internally & externally. Strong commercial expertise in driving business results.
