About The Job

The Small to Mid-Sized Business (SMB) Sales and Strategy team is a growing, high-visibility organization in Global Sales, focused on a myriad of strategies to attract new customers and grow the relationship with existing ones. The team is responsible for creating and implementing products, engaging customers through relationships and marketing activities, devising strategies for lead generation, and managing a large portfolio of Small to Mid-Sized accounts, growing corporate and agency revenue, as well as overall number of accounts.

This positions supports the entire organization through analysis, evaluating processes and redesigning them as needed, monitoring market trends, building comprehensive presentations and business cases for internal and external audiences, and more.  A successful candidate will be a creative, energetic and self-motivated individual who excels in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.

 

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • Assemble and analyze large amounts of data, presenting findings to multiple levels of leadership as well as customers
  • Communicate clearly and concisely using PowerPoint, Tableau, and Excel
  • Analyze and develop strategies to improve effectiveness in small/mid-size corporate travel
  • Identify performance trends, highlighting potential market issues and strategies to better position American Airlines in the marketplace
  • Create performance dashboards for the SMB division summarizing overall performance and opportunities

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Decisive, self-motivated with strong leadership and proven analytical and marketing abilities
  • Team player with outstanding interpersonal skills is essential
  • An aptitude for problem solving, logically structuring analysis of complex issues and developing creative solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capacity to execute multiple projects concurrently

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of a BA/BS required, advanced degrees a plus
  • Experience with SQL, Prism, Mosaic, Tableau, and Diio Mi a plus
