Job Description:

13. Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot VMWare operating systems, to ensure that all requests and incidents are documented on OpenView Service Manager and Request Fulfilment modules.
14. Maintain, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Active Directory to integrate business applications, and facilitate CIB’s employees’ day to day work.
15. Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot VMWare -based application servers and different features (DFS, DNS, DHCP, IIS).
16. Perform ongoing performance monitoring and resources utilization analysis to ensure that existing resources are utilized efficiently.
17. Plan, arrange and perform operating systems/software upgrades and patching, abiding by Change Management cycle.
18. Conduct health checks, risk assessments for the VMWare based platform and services and, to ensure that the application is working properly and problem free.
19. Support the bank strategy for implementing security baseline and apply PCI recommendation.
20. Ensure Microsoft based platforms and services’ availability in Disaster recovery situations.
21. Support in troubleshooting of Microsoft SQL Server with SQL DB Administrator whenever needed.
22. Provide support for users, IT vendors, and other administrators (database, application, network, other OS systems, backup, and storage administrators) during problems troubleshooting, projects, and implementations within scope.
23. Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation and provide continuous support to resolve critical issues on a 24/​7 basis to maximize availability for the bank business services.
24. Participate in writing technical procedures, run books, documentations for Microsoft platform services.
25.  13.    Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
26. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the IT Infrastructure Platform department to ensure continuity of work
27. Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal  position and mitigate any potential risks

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor degree of Engineering, Computer science or its equivalent

Relevant Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years of extensive experience in Microsoft administration role

Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Training required:

• Good Knowledge in using the following technologies:
• Microsoft software products: (LDAP, Active Directory, IIS, DFS, TCP/IP, NFS, SAN and Direct Attached Storage, High Performance Networking).
• Storage, Security and Networking concepts
• VMWare: ESXi, vCenter, vMotion and DRS
• Operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Linux
• Others:  LDAP, TCP/IP, NFS, SAN and Direct Attached Storage, High Performance Networking
• Recommended Certifications: oVMware Certified Professional

• Good command of English and Arabic languages
• Good Communication and presentation skills
• Good Analytical skills
