Responsibilities of this Position:

Conduct interviews and secondary research on the technology markets, consolidate the findings and develop insights
Develop, process and consolidate market data models based on the research to quantitively track market size and shares of the players within and generate forecasts.
Actively support entry, submission and delivery of the market data. Review and sign-off of the output of the team.
Develop thought leadership in technology areas relevant to Enterprise IT Vendors and partners in technologies such as Private/Hybrid Clouds, Software-defined Networks (SDN), Hyperconverged Systems, Hybrid Data management etc.
Deliver actionable advice and recommendations to C-level executives at vendor and partners organizations, in areas such as business strategy and planning, portfolio strategy, competitive strategy and go to market strategy, and emerge as a trusted advisor to them.
Oversee the work of a geographically distributed team of experienced market analysts, guiding and mentoring them throughout.
Review and sign-off of the output of the team including client presentations, reports, data trackers, whitepapers, custom project deliverables, etc.
Speak / present at client workshops and technology conferences as a thought leader on key technology market trends and developments.

Job Requirements:

Education:

Relevant Experience:

At least 8-10 years experience in the IT sector, ideally with an Enterprise IT vendor or a reputed System Integrator or Consulting firm, with significant experience in strategy/planning, product management and marketing, consulting, or market intelligence roles.

Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Training required:

Good understanding of the Enterprise IT industry landscape in the Middle East and Africa region.
A passion for technology and a natural inclination to follow, analyze and comment on latest trends and developments.
Strong analytical skills and a sharp eye for detail.
Strong data modelling and analysis skills.
Strong public speaking skills; excellent English communication skills – oral and written skills.
Ability to work in a very agile and highly collaborative environment.
Strong people management skills. Experience of managing a multi-cultural team of high-quality professionals.
Ability to engage with and advise C-level executives.
