Job Description:
1. Development Needs Assessment (DNA) and Budget:

• Assist in conducting the firm’s annual DNA through targeted interviews, meetings and data extracted from the annual performance appraisals.

• Work with the L&D Manager in consolidating and costing requirements into a comprehensive plan and corresponding calendar.

• Monitor L&D expenses and prepare budget reports to justify expenditures.

2. Training Programmes and Calendar:

• Assist in the planning for L&D initiatives across the different geographies, in coordination with local HR representatives and under the guidance of the L&D Manager.

• Coordinate service level agreements and proposals with all vendors (training providers, hotels, travel agents).

• Handle all training related logistics, including but not limited to: flights, training manuals, and multimedia visual aids.

• Maintain an up-to-date training calendar at all times.

• Communicate with all departments to verify or collect nominations for learning activities in a timely manner.

• Work closely with the L&D Manager in researching and staying up to date on new L&D technologies, including e-learning platforms and LMS solutions.

• Assist in creating and administering the mandated e-learning modules and any accompanied exams/quizzes.

• Analyze incoming participant evaluations to assess instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs and provide recommendations for improvement.

• Generate and distribute the completion reports to the concerned stakeholders.

3. Learning Solution Evaluation:

• Assist in the development of testing and evaluation tools for L&D activities.

4. Reports & Policies:

• Develop and maintain an up-to-date training database both electronically and paper-based (programmes, participants, providers, cost).

• Prepare any required statistics or reports about the firm’s learning activities.

• Track all employee movements in as far as they may affect L&D records.

• Generate the monthly L&D report as part of the department’s monthly reporting.

• Regularly review L&D metrics with the L&D Manager and recommend changes based on management’s needs.

• Ensure that the updated versions of the L&D policy and any related sub policies/codes of conduct, if any, are properly disseminated and updated in all relevant mediums.

5. General:

• Contribute to HR initiatives and projects as required.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a genuine interest in HR in general and L&D specific. Formal HR qualification is a plus.

2. A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar capacity.

3. Genuine interest in Human Resources in general and L&D in specific.

4. Proactive self-starter and ambitious.

5. Good negotiation skills.

6. Good presentation skills.

7. Strong computer skills; Proficient user of Microsoft, Excel and PowerPoint, and generally tech-savvy from an end-user perspective.

8. Excellent command of Arabic and English.

9. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening).

10. Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.

11. Can identify problems and refer/escalate complex issues to a higher level.

12. Has his/her own elevated performance standards and ensures both he/she and the team produce high quality work.

13. Multi-tasker, with the ability to meet changing deadlines, and to prioritize and handle multiple projects.

14. Detail oriented; ensure deliverables are always of a high quality.
