About The Job

This job is a member of the Information Technology Team, within the Information Technology Division. This position will lead a team of seven direct reports that make up our development product team.  This team is responsible for delivering high quality data and analytics solutions utilizing Agile methodology and DevOps practices.  This leader will foster an environment conducive to collaboration, innovation, process maturity, continuous learning, and career development.

 

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • Lead and care for team responsible for designing and developing new data solutions and enhancements to existing solutions.
  • Set and communicate team/individual objectives and KPIs to inspire team to achieve high performance
  • Leads Product Squad responsible for delivering data and analytics solutions
  • Collaborates with Business and IT leadership to determine and communicate systems vision, direction, and work priorities, and drives progress towards technology target roadmaps
  • Responsible for performance reviews, coaching, developing team members
  • Ensures that sound agile project management, development, business analysis, and quality assurance processes are in place and practiced
  • Removes roadblocks, cultivates relationships, and effectively communicates across Enterprise at various levels of leadership
  • Maintains an ongoing awareness of emerging trends in technology

  • Understands and enforces technology standards
  • Demonstrates continuous improvement mindset for internal development processes and how applications assist in business processes operational flow
  • Estimates effort and resources needed for development activities, ensure initiatives have the right allocation of resources, and ensure that deliverables are meeting the business needs
  • Participates in department budget & capital planning processes
  • Manages and tracks project/program schedules and budgets
  • Develops and mentors a team of highly skilled technologists
  • Leads, motivates, and cultivates a high performing team environment
  • Manages production issues and off-hours support, communication, and coordination
  • Works extended hours occasionally, based on the needs of the project and the operation

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 5 years of experience in technology industry
  • 4 years of experience delivering large enterprise level technology projects from inception to implementation and support
  • 2 years leading teams in software solution delivery
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise level data practices, tools and solutions
  • Familiarity and experience and advocate for Agile and DevOps transformation
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools
  • Experience with implementing DevOps practices, culture and tooling
  • Highly effective team builder, servant leader and motivator
  • Experience and thorough understanding of overall systems development life cycle practices and procedures using various methodologies (Agile, SaFE, Iterative)
  • Track record of developing strong working relationships with other leaders within IT and across Business teams

  • Strong technical experience with familiarity in software development, common data structures and algorithms, and best practices
  • Working knowledge and experience in enterprise level technology
  • Experience managing financial budgets at project level

  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
  • Ability to think strategically and use sound judgment and initiative in making decisions
