Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Repairs Controller reviews all unserviceable components and equipment to determine repair/overhaul disposition. This Controller expedites orders and reviews and processes all invoices for outside repairs and confirms that charges are in accordance with specific repair orders. Scope & Complexity This individual contributor position reviews all unserviceable components and equipment to determine repair/overhaul disposition and processes all invoices for outside repairs. Evaluates current and new repair agencies for utilization in component repair. Key Duties - Reviews all unserviceable components and equipment to determine repair/overhaul disposition. - Initiates repair order(s) to outside vendor agencies and holds vendors accountable to Alaska processes. - Expedites orders in support of AOG, MEL, PLT, or heavy maintenance aircraft. - Reviews and processes all invoices for outside repairs and confirms that charges are in accordance with specific repair orders. - Challenges quotes for contracted and non-contracted components. - Updates component status on reports daily. - Partners with Engineering in development of engineering controls for components. - Evaluates current and new repair agencies for utilization in component repair. - Assists in the management of vendor component contracts. - Analyzes vendor repair data, hosts vendor review meetings, and prepares vendor scorecards to document quality, performance, and cost. - Assists the material/inventory control department in evaluation of spare levels and the disposition of BER parts. - Liaises across departments within Alaska Airlines and with external suppliers/vendors. - Performs other duties as assigned. Job-Specific Skills, Experience & Education Required - A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience. - Knowledge of and be familiarity with using Boeing manuals. - A self-starter with good follow-through skills and the ability to work well with others/various groups. - Excellent communication (e.g., verbal, written, and listening) and interpersonal skills. - Detailed oriented and highly organized, with ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - TRAX inventory experience. - Knowledge of FAA and ASA standards as they apply to component repair. - Experience working with outside vendors. - Demonstrated skill and ability to collect, organize, and analyze data, to summarize findings, and develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources with customers and/or vendors. - 737 and/or A320 Aircraft Parts knowledge. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). - An Associate's degree or higher.
