This job is a member of the Passenger Refund Department within the Revenue Accounting Division. This position is entry level and will be responsible for performing basic audit and accounting functions within Passenger Refunds Accounting area.
Specifically, you’ll do the following:
- Performs basic accounting functions (e.g. audit accounting data, refund claims, process/calculate check requests, debit/credit memos, journal vouchers, etc.) for various Revenue Accounting areas (e.g. payments received, billings, tickets issued/used, etc.)
- Researches and resolves accounting discrepancies in a timely manner, including correspondence with external contacts, when necessary
- Completes data entry of accounting information
- Edits/audits daily passenger ticket and ancillary refund requests
- Distributes and stores month end closing statistics reports
- Performs a variety of other functions/adhoc projects as assigned by the immediate supervisor/manager to aid in the department's/company's achievement of goals and business objectives
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED Equivalency
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of general accounting principles/procedures
- At least one year of customer service experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Logical, analytical thinking ability with attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees
