About The Job

​This job is a member of the Pilot Career and Development Team within the Integrated Operations Division. This position will be responsible for supporting the Pilot Recruiting and Development team initiatives through strategic analysis, tracking, reporting and coordinating of internal program components such as candidates, participants and business partners throughout our various programs. Responsible for supporting the Pilot Recruiting & Development team by coordinating internal and external events aimed at facilitating engagement and discussion related to the American Airlines Cadet Academy, and designed to inspire the next generation of aviators. Additional responsibilities include the assigning and coordination of pilots to attend these events (as well as wholly owned regional events), ensuring corresponding pay and expense reports are correct, and compiling summaries of each event.

 

Specifically, you'll do the following:

  • Provides daily analytical support to the department with all aspects of Pilot Recruiting & Development, to ensure its operational success
  • Provides daily support to the Cadet Academy team by helping market and communicate effectively specifics of the program
  • Proactively coordinates internal and external events aimed at facilitating engagement and discussion related to the American Airlines Cadet Academy
  • Represents American Airlines at company recruitment functions, including but not limited to virtual job fairs
  • Coordinates program-specific marketing and American Airlines involvement in all programs
  • Periodically support wholly owned regional carriers with recruiting efforts
  • Schedule, execute and track quarterly awards programs designed to help support Envoy, PSA and Piedmont
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • ​High School diploma or GED equivalency
  • ​Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • First-hand experience, knowledge and understanding of the civilian flight training industry
  • Ability to creatively write about pilot supply and demand, career recruiting, hiring and general pilot industry information
  • Skills and ability to manage a large database of applicants, assess online applications, schedule, oversee and conduct interviews
  • Ability to work independently and/or amount of direction needed
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Knowledge and understanding of the civilian and military flight training industry
  • Ability to track and report data effectively and efficiently

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • ​Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent years of experience
  • Knowledge of professional pilot career paths
  • Private pilot certificate or higher
